Hello,
I have kind of jumped into this but I have been building a camping overland type vehicle for a while. I'm finally to the point of really starting to concentrate on the solar side of things. I originally was going to do AGM's but after reading a lot and watching some of Will's videos my...
 Working with a 80/20 like product to have a panel slide out for extra power. It will also provide some shade for the rear doors. Just too many other projects at the moment...
I would like to find more information of people using the Sterling. I already have a 24v charging system but now switching to the LifePo4 house battery I need to reconsider a second charging source if cloudy or solar is down.
Last I spoke with Kisea @ the end of June 2020:
'Thank you for writing to KISAE.
At this time, the only 24V DC-DC charger model that we have available is the DMT2430 (datasheet attached).
No, the DMT2430 has always been our only 24V DC-DC charger product.
Hopefully this can be suitable for...
Thanks for the video... I heard him say it was adjustable but not how. Currently I'm happy with the output as I plan on adding solar as well. I was watching several of their videos yesterday that give me some more insight into the charger on the settings as I've found the directions a little...
Just started playing with my Sterling BB242435 (24v to 24v rated at 35a). So far through the BMS I've seen a max of 27.15a basically at idle. Somewhere I read it could go as high as 40a but I can't find that documentation currently. Still working on the rest of the system...
'It is really important to understand that a VSR is “NOT” a battery charger. It is simply a switch that allows you to connect two batteries in parallel based on a pre-set voltage range. '

After much reading I had come to the conclusion that the ANT might be a good middle of the road choice since Over Kill Solar doesn't offer anything 8s. But then all the reviews say that ICGOGOGO is NO NO NO.
Holding pattern continues... Is it too early for boubon?
@Ampster,
I read this from @ghostwriter66 which I found very funny. It was a purely a sidebar from it and in jest! But I do appreciate her wisdom and the input she gives!

Interesting idea on the batteries. Mine is based on the separate (main and house) systems, but I'm working with a different electrical beast with 12v and 24v. When I get to a winch it will be 24v as well but running off the main batteries. Curious to see how this works out!
I'm three years into...

Thanks! It is what I'm talking about! Victron seems to bury some of their models and info. Looking at the specs it is rated at 17a continuous with a peak of 25a. The manual says you can stack them to get desired amperage needed but they are $263. It still has me leaning towards the Sterling with...
You are not alone on this... I got notice from Amy as well. FedEx says the ship date is pending which is??? When it clears... we'll see how long it is.
I'm going to start this with a basic diagram of the electrical system I'm working with. The vehicle I'm working with is a CUCV M1010 which was a military field ambulance. It came with two alternators to begin with but the originals were both 24v and used a terrible system to try to regulate 12v...
Looks like a nice build on the chassis! You may check over on Expedition Portal for recommendations for chassis/ box mounts. I know often the box is mounted with a pivot so it won't have torsional stress on it when the chassis twists. Your box is a little shorter but longer than mine but there...
Good I didn't see this earlier... tequila works too...
I've seen what look like cousins... but without review of product or seller I'm hesitant. I thought there was an issue with the 8s overkill tried...
Thanks for the info, I think we are trying to accomplish the same thing. Victron makes DC-DC chargers in a 12/12 and a 24/12 configuration. I'm looking for a 24/24 charger which narrows the market. The one Mike suggested would work but is bundled as a DC-DC charger/ mppt controller. If they were...
