I actually figured as much. I’ll just grab a charger I suppose and eventually I’m gonna make this come to life. It’s odd how soc shows two bars which indicates %25-%50 charged? But off of the terminals I’m getting 0.2v and then 5.0v We have another light that is flashing green and then...

    Does this look normal?
  • Post in thread: Growatt axe 5.0-c1 battery sleeping?

    Thankyou definitely will be.
  • Post in thread: Panel paralleling questions

6s in cold weather will fry my charge controller. 250v max. Midnights solar has a neat little website you can use to figure it out. Inverter is a growatt 6k AIO
  • Post in thread: Any experience with the Growatt AXE 5.0-C1 battery?

Grounded directly to growatt ground screw on inverter is what I gathered. Thankyou
  • Post in thread: Rebuilding everything

So I’ve had nothing but issues with most of the components I purchased. My Growatt AXE battery is getting replaced with 1 or 2 eg4 batteries. Breaker between inverter and batteries. I’ve ordered two little 50 ohm resistors. I ordered a dc breaker and breaker box for my solar panel connection...
  • Post in thread: Panel paralleling questions

Makes sense to me. I believe the max charging amperage I can have is 80amps. Does that mean I can have 5s-10p? That’s 50 panels lol I’m not opposed honestly. That would be 175v 80amps if my math and knowledge is correct?

They’re more willing to work with people who are victim to equipment error. Not user error

I’m not entirely sure my friend
  • Post in thread: Dc mini breaker confusion

I’ll be switching to 3s-2p in a week or so to bring that down. Honestly I might go do it now. I’ve got all my mc4 connectors and the tool to do it.
  • Post in thread: Will generator work with Growatt?

Ideas- -120 or 240v from generator?
  • Post in thread: Dc mini breaker confusion

I haven’t turned the inverter on yet thankfully. What exactly should I do right now? How do I make my polarity correct?
  • Post in thread: Cooked charge side of Growatt.

It’s so easy to do when everything looks the same. I’m glad you figured it out.
  • Post in thread: Dc mini breaker confusion

Can I do a continuity check? Or am I going to hurt myself lol
  • Post in thread: Rebuilding everything

I purchased on July 1st Shipped July 5th. Received it July 19th. Installed July 23rd roughly. So it’s been about a month from the time that this all started.

Woah lol that is impressive. I know 3m makes decent products but this blew my mind.

  • Post in thread: Rebuilding everything

The scariest thing I encountered was power escaping from the unit when the unit was powered off. I didn’t like that. This occurred from the first day I used the battery. I think it’s great as well. I would buy it again. Except I would buy more than one to rule out inconsistencies.that’s my...

Water heater is most likely ac and panels produce dc…how would you bypass the device that switches dc to ac?

I have one 100amp hour growatt AXE c-1 battery.

Recheck all connections in your array? Sounds like somethings not making a proper connection? Check with a clamp meter also

Soc at time off shut off and code was around %80 I’m trying to discharge to %30

So Do you have 18 -100 watt panels like shown in pictures? Or do you have 6-100 watt panels? Correct me if I’m wrong. In simple terms Wiring in series volts will increase amps will stay the same. Wiring in parallel amps will increase volts will stay the same.

Who here thinks you should have to replace fans and cpu boards upon purchasing a brand new inverter? I for one do not think you should. I’m not going to actually. I would ….if I was assured I’d be taken care of… if it didn’t work. I’m not. I’ve changed transmissions and rebuilt old vehicles...

  • Post in thread: 48v Eg4 LiFepower4 battery terminal coating

Has anyone ever used a type of grease or glue to cover the terminals on the battery? I’m imagining a product like a liquid electrical tape mixed with an anti corrosion gel? Questions. Is this something obtainable? Should I coat my terminals for longevity sake? The battery is in a shipping...
  • Post in thread: Growatt Fault code 04

How do I get it out of protection mode? The battery’s only giving me 1-5v at the moment. To wake the battery the manual states to power on the PCS. I’ve done this a few times this way now but it’s very inconsistent. Sometimes it’s working…sometimes it’s not. Ac input is %100 hooked up...

Hey thanks for that! I just looked into them! I’m definitely interested.
  • Post in thread: Dc mini breaker confusion

Care to explain what this clamping diode is exactly?
  • Post in thread: Dc mini breaker confusion

I simply switched the wires leading into the breaker and it worked fine.
  • Post in thread: I’m a little confused hooking up my growatt spf 6000t dvm-mpv

Okay I’ll start off by saying this is an off grid application. I have a 6kw generator that has 240v output. Ive ran hot1-hot 2 and ground from generator. I disconnected the neutral from the generator power cable because I do not see a place to put the neutral on the inverter. That leads me...
  • Post in thread: Wiring and disconnects

I haven’t hooked anything up yet because I just need one person to say looks good enough to work temporarily.
  • Post in thread: How efficient is your generator?

4 hours usually per cycle lol please help if you suspect an issue
  • Post in thread: Wiring and disconnects

Would the math be 37.23v x 6=223.38? My inverter says the maximum is 250v? Am I safe enough distance away from 250 with my almost 224v?
  • Post in thread: Dc mini breaker confusion

Funny you say this. I didn’t think to test the breaker in the “on”position and the “off” position at first. After you said this I decided to test it. it still allows 50ish volts to go through it? Why is this? It’s a breaker I got off Amazon.
  • Post in thread: Will generator work with Growatt?

What’s the battery voltage at? Does your system have a low dc cut off feature?
  • Post in thread: GROWATT AXE C-1 battery.

    Generator is a Honeywell 6500 240v output @ 30A
  • Post in thread: Growatt spf 6000t dvm-mpv with growatt axe 5.0l-c1 battery with 240v input from 6kw generator

Any idea what protocol setting to chose on inverter in lithium setting #05 for this battery? I have a 6kw growatt inverter and the axe 5.0L-c1 I keep getting fault code 20 on inverter? I’m wondering how to get rid of the fault code. Is there’s an alternative method that I’m just unaware...
