I have bought the Renogy DC DC Dual MPPT charger. I now understand its limits. Mainly cannot take more than 25v from solar. No big deal, I will rewire my panels so to yield 20v instead of 40v. BUT, what about charger from engine? My engine has a 100amp alternator. Most DC DC charger limits...

I have a house battery bank connected to 4 x 100w solar panels via Mppt. I use the house bank as also the starting battery for the engine. The battery bank is connected to the engine and also the shore power charger in addition to the MPPT.
Is this set up okay?
