@Cal, that is a good idea, the D+ to the relay and from the relay to the BMS so when the alternator runs the relay switch the DC-DC charger ! A manual switch in the D+ cable is alway good just incase. @DJSmiley, I don´t have a D+on my 2011 Ducato and I don´t know if you have one otherwise you...

You are right (y) - my misunderstanding. :mad: The 40A version is a 500W version divided by 12,5V is 40A but divided bij 14,7V is 34A So it will charge the LFP with 34A but take 40A out of the alternator Is this correct ?

Oeps lot of answers today (y) I try to read them all I know that the Renogy need a D+ wire and I can make a switch in the line but I also have a BMV700 and maybe that one can switch the Renogy if the battery is 90% ful. Otherwise the LifePo4 have a BMS which is between the battery and the BMV700...

Like Steve said the ective balancer is almost useless so I cansel the part and I change the Orion for a Renogy DCC1212-20

I am just back from the RV and could not find so much. The only think what took 5mA was the AC-DC from Renogy which I have permanently connected to the LFP I disconnect it just to see if that helps. When I left I saw on the BMS app that the capacity went down to 227Ah so that is 3Ah in 3 days...

When I connect the ignition wire to a Renogy DCC1212-20 and start the engine will it directly connect the 2 batteries or is there some delay in connecting ? I prefer a delay of a few seconds.

May I ask, did it take 5 days to charge it from 3,44V to full at 3,65V ? What is the best way to balance : parallel or serie ? If parallel I have to buy a similair charger but if in serie goes faster or better I can charge then with the 20A Renogy AC-DC charger For your information my 4 x 280Ah...
