I bought the 24S 1A 150A
I just installed a new Must 6000W split phase, pure sign wave inverter. It seems to be working great, but I have noticed that the load percentage seems to be off. It gives a load percentage like to is set for a maximum of 3000W.
Today I finally put a heavy load on the inverter: about 3400...
I am preparing to add a second battery to my 48v system. The new battery will have its own BMS and breaker and will be connected the same bus bars as the other battery. How do I prevent power surge due to voltage differential between the two batteries when I close the breaker to place it in...
snoobler, I posted an updated schematic below, could you take a look at it and let me know if i corrected the issues that you identified? Thanks in advance, I really appriciate your input!
Ok, problem solved. I found out that the load percentage is the higher of the two phases. The inverter is rated at 3000w per phase, for a total of 6000w.
My old dryer was using 5600 watts!! That is 2800 per line/phase. I had some other stuff running as well, so the highest of the two phases...
I just fired up my new system, but I have had to bypass the BMS because I can not get it to turn on. The BMS is a Heltec B1A24S15P 150A model. Before powering up the system I was seeing a voltage drop through the BMS, from 53V at the batteries to 34V on the other side of the BMS. When I opened...
Thanks, I will definitely check for bad connections or bent pins. I am still trying to figure out how to turn the BMS on though. It requires a 5V differential across the BMS to turn on. The voltage needs to be 5 volts higher on the P- side than on the B- side. I cant figure out a way to do it...
Thanks for your reply, I could try to put somthing like that togather to test the BMS on the bench , but I am still confused on how to create that 5 volt difference across the P- and the B- while it is attached to the system. The battery is usually between 52 and 54 volts, and the controler only...
Ok, I have revised the schematic based on the advise I have revcieved. Please take alook and let me know how this looks!! I added a shunt and a breaker and redirected my (-) wiring. I also changed my breaker amerage.
I would appreciate your critique of my off-grid solar design pictured below. The system will generate 6400W, with 13.8 kWh LifePo4 storage and a 6000W split phase inverter. It will be a split system with separate 110/220VAC and 48VDC distribution panels and backup generator.
I would especially...
Hi snoobler, thanks for your well thought out reply!! I will try to respond to your points and answer your questions. I have a lot to learn, so please forgive my ignorance.
We are in Cochise County!
I will look into a higher rated bridge connector.
What is between the panels and the MPPT? I am...
