Max is how Klein measures inrush... As explained by the manufacturer (https://www.kleintools.com/videos/how-measure-rush-current).
I missed something on my original post. The fault I'm getting it a 52: "Bus Voltage is too low". That makes me think it's something with the connection. I don't...
I had the same question, Did you 258.3v connected cause any issues? The more confusing this is that it states you can have an operating voltage up to 250volts... and that would mean that your voc would obviously be above that(around 300voc). From my understanding, Voc is always the...
Inrush was my first assumption as well. I measured it with my Klein clamp meter. Clamped on black wire coming into the furnace..Set it to read ac current. Selected to read "max"... Then started furnace while plugged into utility power.
The below diagram shows a 2s3p & 3p2s solar configuration respectively(at least I think that's what the configurations are called). I wired my 6 solar panels using the bottom example(3p2s) but afterwards I realized that I could wire them in a 2s3p configuration(top example).
Are these...
Thank you for the reply. So help me understand your btesting. You simply just put a resistor between the positive and negative connections and then tested the current? Is that right?
Thanks for your tip on shading. I'll include that, I didn't think of that with this being just one panel.
Interesting. On the growatt I did check that there is continuity between the ground and neutral, and there was... According to what I remember. I did not think to check the ohms though. Do the ohms need to match? Maybe I should check that once I get home tonight. Thanks for the help.
It has a setting to measure max and min which are used to measure inrush.. the regular ac current setting isn't fast enough to see it... It's the most expensive clamp meter they sell so I believe it's working properly.
Their support team suggested i use dip switches 0000010 and Battery Brand setting 8 in the 6000xp. But it still is not showing the number of batteries in parallel.
Okay I removed those cords completely and I'm still seeing the same behavior. I wonder if this is an issue with all the growatts of this model or just mine.
i'm not asking what the best way to wire up 6 panels is. i'm asking specifically if there's a difference between these 2s3p and 3p2s. pros and cons of one or the other.
This is a question for those who have a 6000 XP with the communication to the eg4 batteries.
I have a 6000 XP. And when I bring the app up on my phone it is not showing the number of batteries I have in parallel. It's also not showing my battery capacity. Does anyone see this data on their...
Ya, I'm testing with loads disconnected. When I reverse the test leads i'm still seeing the same voltage difference. The gn continuity is showing but there s a ton of resistance there. It's really weird! Is resistance normal? Here's a video of me showing that.
This is something you might consider. You only need the CT monitoring the main power. somethining to think about. I'd be interested if other manufactures offer something similar.
Thank you! You guys are great. I just ordered some. Just curious, How do you know that it won't melt when I connect the wires to the terminals?
Thanks again.
I have the growatt 3000 48p model and when I remove the bonding screw it does nothing to the GN bond. Maybe I got a defective unit but just something to watch out for. Have you confirmed that removing the screw removes the ground neutral bond?
Thanks! On my growatt output, My voltage between live and ground and live and neutral is not the same. Does that mean I have a defective unit? Here's a video showing it? https://photos.app.goo.gl/UM99bJAGrFitxuu3A
