  • Post in thread: Beware of Docan Technologies (Issue Resolved)

What's insane to me is that any time anyone posts a good Docan review, everyone simply accepts it with no evidence whatsoever, but any time someone posts a complaint about Docan, a huge number of forum members just attack that person, demanding ridiculous evidence, and tons of people pile on...
  • Post in thread: DIY LiFePo4 without BMS unit

    Yes.
  • Post in thread: Docan 8x EVE 280ah slightly swollen

Nothing he said is untrue, though. Docan do not sell grade A batteries, if they did they could provide test reports, which they do not. It's pretty open and shut here. I bought 64 LF280K from Docan so I'm not saying they're a terrible supplier, but you get exactly what you pay for.
  • Post in thread: Rant: EG4 48v 100ah battery has faulty BMS. Signature solar customer service is TERRIBLE

Honestly, people need to stop taking purchasing advise from people who get paid to recommend certain products, period. There is no guarantee of integrity in a system like that.
  • Post in thread: Seplos CAN BUS RS485 48v 200A 8S-16S BMS

Sorry, I didn't think encouraging you to post in a more suitable location so your post would get the attention it deserves, instead of being hidden on page 32 of a seplos bms thread, was a bad thing..
  • Post in thread: BATTERY SELLERS - THE GOOD, BAD, UGLY -- or Jenny (DOCAN) so far so good ...

Why dont we just get the thread back on topic, who cares what people think about the fees. If you don't like it, don't pay them and move on.
  • Post in thread: Are we all getting GRADE B cells??

I feel like there's a chance we are buying new, unused cells (from some of the vendors reviewed here) - but new cells which have been rejected by EVE for their automotive customers who demand a higher standard. Like just because they are new, doesn't mean they are "Grade A" cells...it's really...
  • Post in thread: Are we all getting GRADE B cells??

Isn't this essentially what Intel does with CPU cores? They get a silicon disc with a bunch of cpu's printed on it, some of those will be great and get binned as a high clock speed part, others may have internal defects, so they will disable portions of that chip and sell it as a cheaper part.
  • Post in thread: Why EVE Energy's Sale Person this aggressive?

LOL yeah dude, I am and I think you're being ridiculous. You're reading a lot into some fairly mild language from a non-english speaker. One thing I know for sure - you won't get good service from that guy after complaining about him, he thinks you're a complainer now, ain't no-one got time...
  • Post in thread: BATTERY SELLERS - THE GOOD, BAD, UGLY -- or Jenny (DOCAN) so far so good ...

This is my assumption. It's otherwise a striking coincidence that when EVE decided to put the B marking, Docan can/will no longer supply EVE cells.
  • Post in thread: custom made battery box for eve LF280K cells

My cases just arrived! Boxes look in....reasonable condition. For some unknown reason, they have lithium battery stickers on the boxes even though these are just cases? Seems weird lol The BMS and display appear to be pre-installed on the front panel which I wasn't expecting, haven't got into...
  • Post in thread: Beware of Docan Technologies (Issue Resolved)

I wouldn't bother posting back either if the first post I made was piled onto by a bunch of negative nellies, all saying the same thing in increasingly negative and accusatory tones...like really dudes? Thats how we welcome a new member who is just trying to post their experience? Get...
  • Post in thread: Beware of Docan Technologies (Issue Resolved)

That is what is crazy. This dude's getting grilled, I posted about the cells I got from Docan in that thread with, well really no "proof" like what you guys are asking from OP, yet people just accepted it. It's ridiculous. Like seriously - read back over the first page of this thread, with a...
  • Post in thread: EVE identifies Grade B cells using new marking Method [Reposting from General]

This is categorically false. You can buy whatever grade battery from the factory you want, if you want to pay more for the EV spec batteries that is absolutely an option available to you.
  • Post in thread: 280AH EVE

For those new terminals - do they supply a busbar to connect cells end to end, like in a standard 16S configuration? f.ex the connection i have (poorly) circled in red:
  • Post in thread: DIY LiFePO4 Cost Analysis - February 2022 Edition

I specifically came to this forum to read unbiased reviews on the cells from vendors like Amy (Luyuan?) and Docan.
  • Post in thread: EVE identifies Grade B cells using new marking Method [Reposting from General]

It seems ridiculous to be like "lol they brought this on themselves" when what EVE was doing was actually intended to HELP consumers. Maybe the blame should go on the pieces of shit that re-laser? just saying.
  • Post in thread: Bifacial power claims

Our bifacial panels perform excellent in winter when the ground is snow covered, which is when we need the power the most!
  • Post in thread: The secret to compression

I actually reached out to Rogers Corporation directly and was referred to a local converter (via this page -> https://rogerscorp.com/Elastomeric-Material-Solutions/Preferred-Converters ) The guy I talked to, knows a *ton* about building battery packs and says they have lots of different foams...
  • Post in thread: Order placed - the wait begins!

Posting up my order process just in case anyone wanted another review of Docan Power. Just ordered 64 EVE 280Ah batteries from Docan Power, and now the waiting game begins for their long journey across the Pacific. Worked with @Amy Zheng via email and she was very helpful in getting the order...
  • Post in thread: My DIY vs Prebuilt comparison - May 2022

Will isn't the be all and end all of the battery/solar world my friend, he was just saying how his affiliate sales are down for DIY cells and up for pre-built. It is meaningless overall. If I was more cynical I might believe he gets a higher affiliate payment for pre-builts and as such...
  • Post in thread: Beware of Docan Technologies (Issue Resolved)

Really happy you got to a resolution which is satisfactory. Thanks for posting a more detailed update! edit: can you update the original post in the thread with your resolution? it will make it easier for other users to find the conclusion to the saga :D
  • Post in thread: Beware of Docan Technologies (Issue Resolved)

Some people arent super forum savvy, my friend. I'd like to think a mod could at least link his resoluton post into the OP if the OP himself either wasn't inclined or simply does not know how.
  • Post in thread: DIY LiFePO4 Cost Analysis - February 2022 Edition

This is my problem with them as well (aside from cost). I'm in Canada and looked at some OTS batteries/rack units, and found these: - Gyll Lifepower4 - 100Ah **corrected** @ 48v - $1500USD+shipping = ~$2000CAD (this appears to be the most cost effective overall, and recommended by many) -...
  • Post in thread: Bifacial power claims

I dont need the power in the summer tbh, it's winter that is the problem :D
  • Post in thread: Our NEW GO-TO LiFePO4 vendor...09.20.21
