  • Post in thread: Wicking threadlocker to stop connections loosening due to vibration

Apparently heat and possibly fires "could" be caused if connections become loose say from vibration for example. As our bank is on a boat in a space near the engine room and prone to vibration it has me wondering. If everything is nicely torqued down and running fine why couldn't I use wicking...
  • Post in thread: 24v 8S2P GBS -LFP300A bank but whats with the terminals?

I did contact GBS but for the amount the financier was prepared to spend I was getting borderline amp hours. We went with the eve280 with welded studs and have plenty of space to securely mount in a vessel that doesn't get knocked around. 65 tonne sucks up the bumps, down below in what was the...

Cool, sounds like a wee drop on the studs and connectors it is. Thanks
  • Post in thread: Bench power supply fail - do I really need to top balance?

Thanks and thought as much. We will see what the supplier of the powersupply says, hoping for a refund (eBay) and then I'll buy another closer to where we are and hopefully have it in a week.
