    Combining 100w panels (different makes)

Hey guys, I can't find clear data for the brands of 100w solar panels I have. I would appreciate your help? How would you best mix up these safely without purchasing limiting diodes? I'm using 4x40A Renogy controllers. Thanks in advance. I don't want my maintenance and spring cleaning to blow...

24v parallel batts: 2" difference OK?

Diagonal to fuse above, exactly. So I'm worrying about nothing re: a 1.8" difference on a length of less than 15"?

24v parallel batts: 2" difference OK?

These cables would be neg to neg and pos to pos: the existing cables up to inverter are 1awg (size limit of the growatt). Still OK to he a little under 2" off on this parallel connection?

24v parallel batts: 2" difference OK?

Hi folks, I am adding a second 200a 24v battery in parallel to my 24v Growatt 3000 (also 200a, both lifepo4, both 200a BMS). My last two 2/0 cables in the house have just under 2" difference in length (12 and almost 14"). And no more lugs to cut and re-crimp. Will even this difference mess...

MRBF fuses for battery parallel connection?

UPDATE: I read the post twice and understand. 200a it is. Thanks, Steve :)

MRBF fuses for battery parallel connection?

Thanks Steve, Just so I don't jump to a conclusion: I'm ok with the two 250a fuses, each on a pos terminal, I specced out above then? Or should I spec them for 225, just at little headroom above the max bms each can deliver, since I don't plan to ever deliver close to the 400 both could supply.

MRBF fuses for battery parallel connection?

Hey Steve, This part confuses me: You offered that "If the battery is 24V/100AH, it should be fused to 200A as the BMS will exceed that for surge" I was thinking of paralleling 2x200a 24v batteries (both have 200a bms). Does that mean you recommend 400a fuses on each battery positive? I...

    Combine LiTime/Redodo 24v clones

    Thanks for your help!

    Combine LiTime/Redodo 24v clones

Do class T fuses need to be ignition rated for solar usage on 24v?

    Combine LiTime/Redodo 24v clones

I have two clone-brand batteries a LiTime and a Redodo, both with identical capacity. One is older, and one is within the last month. I understand the chemistries will mimic the lower performer of the two, but if the sum total is still a good percentage of the total amount available despite...

Growatt use Utility for Charge ONLY? Battery primary? Possible?

Revisiting an old thread....I'm in the same boat and would like to add a Victron ip22 24v charger to my Growatt. So long as I fuse through a standard fuse block, which will feed to the battery terminals, will I have any other considerations to address? 01 set as SBU, 12 set at 25.6, and 13 set...

D+ ignition for DC charger (cigarette lighter?)

Hey all, I'm adding a dc-to-dc charger to my portable solar box. Can I use the cigarette charger for a car inverter, plugged into an ignition-only cigarette lighter port? If so, is wiring the negative of the cigarette charger to the common negative bus of my fuse box, and the positive to the D+...

    600w induction on 100ah?

Thank you everybody, for the thoughtful replies! 'Nothing to lose' is good enough for me!

    600w induction on 100ah?

Can I build a camping system out of an Eco-worthy 100ah and Giandel 600w/1200w inverter, if all the wires are short and over-specced, fused for wire size, or will it kill the battery? For inductive loads like the nuwave induction cooktop on low at 600 W, on a 12 V inverter is going to pull...

    Fuse size: 30ah lifepo4 <-> 600w 12v inverter

OK thanks MisterS, I may consider paralleling a second matching battery BUT in the meantime, the official specs say max charge/discharge are both 30a so a 25a breaker gives me enough headroom for a 20a charger, right?
