Which charger do you suggest? I am not coming up with any for lifep04 that let you adjust any settings.

That’s the panel pos. It is getting power to the unit via the battery, but the led is not lighting up and the MT50 is not communicating with it…connecting….is the read out. Anyone know how to test if the unit is bad?

I am in Vermont and want to add heating pads to my battery box in a shed that powers a small freezer. I’ve read a few threads on what people have done but none that have the heater pads turn on by timer or sunlight. If the panels are not getting any sunlight, I don’t want to waste battery...

It seems the SCC I have(and can no longer return) is not intended for lithium ion batteries. Is anyone else on here using this for lithium? I currently am but don’t know if I am ruining it or my batteries. Waiting for clarification from EPEver

My bad, disregard this photo…this was the CC I hooked up after my 5415 stopped working. It has the opposite hook up locations for panel and battery.

So if I add say 600 or 1200 additional watts of panels to my system on overcast days will that fry my controller? When you say you are overpaneled, are you over your limit for what your controller can handle but because of placement it works? I would like to not have to upgrade to 24v at this...

No the panels are connected to the CC only. I am wondering if something could be fried in the cc? It seems to be working but not controllable. My battery is maintaining a charge with the sun while charging the freezer. I heard clicks from time to time in the CC.

Thanks Michael. The specs of my Epever SCC state 520w max for solar input at 12v and 1040w on a 24v system. I only have a single pitch roof to mount on but the trees make it so I only get direct Sun on the whole roof for about four hours max.

I’m not sure what doesn’t make sense. The battery and panels are connected to the SCC. The Multimeter reading of the panel wires going into the SCC read 46volts. The wires going into the battery terminals of the SCC read 14v. Tell me how I am not being clear.

Thanks…yes Harbor Freight suitcase panel, I see that about changing the connectors. Even so, how would you tie in the suitcase panel? Some have suggested a separate controller, but still, do you attach both controllers to the same battery?

Seems like connecting the inverter to the load port is a bad idea though. I'm not sure if powering the Inkbird from the load port and then also having the Inkbird connected to the inverter to power it on is a mistake. To be honest, I've never used the load ports. I programmed the MT50...
