Which charger do you suggest? I am not coming up with any for lifep04 that let you adjust any settings.

That’s the panel pos. It is getting power to the unit via the battery, but the led is not lighting up and the MT50 is not communicating with it…connecting….is the read out. Anyone know how to test if the unit is bad?
  • Post in thread: LifePO4 heater pads

I am in Vermont and want to add heating pads to my battery box in a shed that powers a small freezer. I’ve read a few threads on what people have done but none that have the heater pads turn on by timer or sunlight. If the panels are not getting any sunlight, I don’t want to waste battery...
  • Post in thread: Small system to power small freezer

It’s a matter of planning really. At the moment, the solar and power is located away from any other possible use cases. But in the future that might change, so until then, if I add more panels with my current setup, it’d be great to be able to easily(automatically) engage them when needed and...
  • Post in thread: Epever 4215bn

It seems the SCC I have(and can no longer return) is not intended for lithium ion batteries. Is anyone else on here using this for lithium? I currently am but don’t know if I am ruining it or my batteries. Waiting for clarification from EPEver
  • Post in thread: CC is unresponsive

My bad, disregard this photo…this was the CC I hooked up after my 5415 stopped working. It has the opposite hook up locations for panel and battery.
  • Post in thread: Small system to power small freezer

So if I add say 600 or 1200 additional watts of panels to my system on overcast days will that fry my controller? When you say you are overpaneled, are you over your limit for what your controller can handle but because of placement it works? I would like to not have to upgrade to 24v at this...
  • Post in thread: CC is unresponsive

No the panels are connected to the CC only. I am wondering if something could be fried in the cc? It seems to be working but not controllable. My battery is maintaining a charge with the sun while charging the freezer. I heard clicks from time to time in the CC.
  • Post in thread: How to determine if Lifepo batteries are bad

Thanks, me too! Can you you explain to me like I’m a two year old, how to do a discharge test? I read the earlier post three times but can’t follow it.

  • Post in thread: How to determine if Lifepo batteries are bad

Thanks and I appreciate the response. I understand everything you are suggesting. But it doesn't answer my question. My question was, assuming I do the very thing you are suggesting, what are the next steps in diagnosing the battery? Additional info: I have three identical Weize 100ah...
  • Post in thread: Small system to power small freezer

If I unplug the fridge, and keep the inkbird connected, yes, the inverter doesn't beep the warning. The batteries jump between 10.4-15v at random. The are brand new Weize lithium 100ah connected in parallel. So to be clear, the system says the batteries are at 14v, I switch on the Inkbird and...
  • Post in thread: How to determine if Lifepo batteries are bad

The agm seems to do far better and is only 70ah. The lifepo: I don’t think the connection or controller are bad since the same controller and connections work so well for the agm. I bought three weize 100ah at the same time and the one in my van still works great, albeit with much less of a...
  • Post in thread: How to determine if Lifepo batteries are bad

I have a solar setup that includes two lifepo4 batteries in parallel that power a very small freezer and a couple 6w led lights on motion sensors. After several cloudy days they need to be brought in and recharged with a battery charger. When I do that, I hook up a two year old agm that has...
  • Post in thread: Epever question

I have a 50amp Epever and I can't get the lights, connected to the load relay, to go on. I am using an MT50 interface and not having any luck. Any ideas?
  • Post in thread: Small system to power small freezer

Thanks Michael. The specs of my Epever SCC state 520w max for solar input at 12v and 1040w on a 24v system. I only have a single pitch roof to mount on but the trees make it so I only get direct Sun on the whole roof for about four hours max.

I have the Epever 40amp one
  • Post in thread: Small system to power small freezer

Thanks for the ideas. So if I put a few more panels up, that would overtax my controller when the weather is not overcast. Would you get a separate scc for additional added panels in my case? I can add one more 100ah battery no problem, maybe I will try that first. I didn’t realize it would...
  • Post in thread: Small system to power small freezer

I do s e used 300w panels for sale. Can you mix and match those with other wattages?
  • Post in thread: CC is unresponsive

I’m not sure what doesn’t make sense. The battery and panels are connected to the SCC. The Multimeter reading of the panel wires going into the SCC read 46volts. The wires going into the battery terminals of the SCC read 14v. Tell me how I am not being clear.
  • Post in thread: Adding 100w suitcase with SAE

Thanks…yes Harbor Freight suitcase panel, I see that about changing the connectors. Even so, how would you tie in the suitcase panel? Some have suggested a separate controller, but still, do you attach both controllers to the same battery?
  • Post in thread: Small system to power small freezer

Seems like connecting the inverter to the load port is a bad idea though. I'm not sure if powering the Inkbird from the load port and then also having the Inkbird connected to the inverter to power it on is a mistake. To be honest, I've never used the load ports. I programmed the MT50...

  • Post in thread: How to determine if Lifepo batteries are bad

It does have user settings and is set to match what Weize includes with the battery
  • Post in thread: Freezer not getting cold enough

Attached is a photo of the setup and the label on the freezer. The freezer is NOT the issue. As I have stated, it runs fine when plugged in inside the house. It is either the inverter or Inkbird or both and I am not sure how to diagnose them. I will look into a watt meter or if there is some...
  • Post in thread: Small system to power small freezer

Awesome easy to understand breakdown, thanks. Is there some parameter in my MT50 monitor that tells me how many wh I have been producing over the week or so I have had them up? Maybe that way I could calculate that amount of additional panels I would need. Also, can you mix and match different...
