Sorry chaps. Only just seen these replies.
Yes, the Acrel meter sees any excess from any generation source and uses it. I have 3 different Solar arrays, none of them connect to the Solis and it uses the power from all of them. The logic is House demand first, then charge battery and if both...
Sorry, I missed a part out. Sounds like it's not needed for safety reasons then and any issues the T Class fuse will take of it. My only concern was a short circuit or failure after the BMS and whether the T Class Fuse would see the fault as it has the BMS in the way?
Battery -> T Class Fuse ->...
Hi,
So my current setup is as follows.
Battery -> T Class Fuse -> BMS -> DC Breaker -> Hybrid Inverter
I've noticed today that the DC Breaker is starting to discolor on one of the 4 terminals and the cable has actually melted a bit. All disconnected now. This DC breaker is a TOMZ brand that I...
Thanks, I will give these suggestions a try. Yeah they really need to sort out the language issues as it would make it so much better. The hardware seems ok but software issues seem a pain. Kinda thinking I should have spent the extra on a better brand!
Ok, so I'm struggling to get my (BMS) 100% charge sorted. I'm presuming I have this correct. The BMS should get to 100% / 280AH SOC and then go into standby. I can't seem to get this to work whatever I try. I've tried the default parameters, my own, and some others shared with me using the same...
Hi all, can the Solis 5K-48-5G send excess energy generated from other sources to the battery? I have 3 different PV strings but not connected to the Solis. They were installed separately so not easy to get them connected + I'd need 3x inputs which the Solis doesn't have. I'm using the Solis to...
Yes, I did see that but wanted to adjust the language in the parameters section. Monomer and Pressure need changing! Can't seem to find them anywhere though.
Ha ha, yes that old chestnut! I think I have my top-end voltages adjusted right now. More by luck than skill. I still can't figure out when it decides 100% is 100% but it did eventually do this last night and then put the battery in to standby (while waiting for load) which is what I wanted...
Ok, thanks. Not sure if it's a bug with the software but I have to hit save all to save some settings but this then resets the Battery Rated Capacity AH and SOC AH.
Actually got another question now. Because I had to revert all settings this has messed up the total ah and useable ah. Should I just charge to full voltage @ 58.4v then set the pack AH correctly, then do a discharge to 10% @ 0.5c so everything gets calculated properly?
