    Quick question 12v to 48v

    Can I use my spare epever charge controller to take 12v panel input and send it to my 48v battery? Or does it have to be 12v to 12v or 48v to 48v? Its a Tracer 100a model

    PV->hot water

    Hi efficient, I want to build can you help? Do you have a noob write up for direct panel to DC water elements/tanks/heaters? I didn't see a sticky at the top of the water heater section for basics etc. I watched a Missouri wind and solar video and I have a few questions I have 26 panels (36v...

    So if you are off grid with a generator as backup, would you then just treat the service panel that the LV feeds as a sub panel or bond the G and N and just not have gfci bc of the genny? What about afci vs the genny? AFCI sounded nice for potential fire issues, but now I'm lost if the cabin...

    MPP watchpower wifi app issue solved!!!!

    Make sure your sim card isnt getting a signal, no cell data etc, just wifi. Once I did that I haven't ever had a problem since I was able to set it up. Try a tablet ;) they usually only do wifi

    MPP-SOLAR LV6548

    Yep I cleaned mine this spring and was also surprised how well they work. I kind of wish they slid in and out like a window AC filter or something vs needing a screw. Maybe a wing nut bolt would be better!

Quadrafire and Enviro are solid and seem about equal with Enviro having a few less complaints. Enviro M55 is multifuel and dozen+ years...

    Pellet stoves

    Would you buy it again. Reviews look mixed online, but its more than half the cost of Harman or quadrafire, and better reviews than other Home depot stoves. Sometimes I feel user error or just lack of knowledge lead to bad reviews though. Couple thoughts: It would be heating 900 sq ft 24/7...

    Pellet stoves

    Well seems like pellet stoves are decent for power usage. If its under 100w an hr even on a cloudy week I will have enough power. Found this Interesting http://www.forgreenheat.org/consumer_resources/reliablepellet.html

    Pellet stoves

    How would I know if they have creosote. I read soft wood pellets are better than hard, as hard pellets can gum things up with creosote. How much power does it use? These guys sell pallets of pellets down the street from me and I have pallet forks for my tractor. here is their brand, they also...
