Amigo....Your simple photo just saved me much mental energy trying to come up with something more complicated and expensive. I owe you a beer for sure!
Thanks
I have 20 of the 280AH 3.2v Xuba cells and I will be making into 12v batteries with the Smart BMS.
Now what I'm looking for is a premade battery Box that will save me time in making something custom myself.
Anything out there that others have used?
Thanks
I ordered my 20 cells from Amy at Xuba. Paid on May 13th received cells at my shipping address in San Diego on July 1st.
So about 45 Days, which is about normal for shipping from China.
Happy as a Clam at this point. Getting ready for Capacity tests and then installation in my boat, to...
Bingo...Now that Steve has clarified his "charge irregularities" we can all see this is a Non-Issue and Amy can go back to saying, Yes they are Grade A without feeling nervous of the reports to the contrary. From where I sit...Amy handled this excellently and gets points for not just ignoring...
Thanks for the Clarification Steve.
I think this "charge issue" has throw Amy for a bit of a loop her knowing that you are extremely technical as an end user and while not "affiliated" with XUBA have certainly been a proponent of them and their cells. So Amy has been mentioning the issue with...
I'm not sure why a boiler plate response from a non-English native speaker would raise concern. I do customer service for a living for my marine water maker and refrigeration companies and have a vast library of "Cut-n-Paste" answers to all the question I get over and over and over again...
When I asked her where this Question about Grade A came from this was her replay:
Dear Richard:
I am sure that it is brand new. About grade A, I used to firmly answer yes, but Steve on the forum told me that the charging rates of the batteries he bought were a little inconsistent. Although I...
I'm not sure where you get that from. She replied to me YESTERDAY that these are Grade A New Cells. Nothing has changed with that and her comments about charging inconsistences is from what a member of this forum told her....it's not what they are testing or seeing. So I see no negatives yet...
Yes but...
Your BMS is going to Stop incoming charge at its setpoint voltage anyway....so whats all this fuss about solar chargers, battery chargers and their float voltage?? Seems like angels on a pin debate to me.
Great set up.
How are you liking the Smart BMS with Bluetooth?
My question is how the App works with two batteries and BMS units? Can you view SOC and Cell data all at the same time or do you have to swap back and forth between battery 1 and 2
Sea Freight then delivered to my San Diego, Cali address.
So the total price:
20 cells:
Product price + freight = $330*5+$635= $2285.
Add in a $115 120A 4s Bluetooth BMS from Amazon like Will recommends and that is $572 for a 280AH ready to go battery. Where else can you even get close to that...
It's true shipping isn't cheap...
I just ordered 20 of the 280AH cells from China and my shipping was $640 to California.....o_O
But even with the shipping it was tons cheaper than buying one of the off the shelf and ready drop in units from Battle Born for example.
