Interesting, I know I’m one of Will’s videos he takes apart the SOK 12v 200ah battery and it has a low temperature disconnect. Do you know if the 24v one you got has low temp disconnect?
I found out from the supplier of Jakiper that the cells in the 48v and 24v batteries are made by a company called Ganfeng in China. They say the performance and cycle life is similar between the two units.
The heat shrink will only be applied to about 1.5' in a straight line from the starter battery through the fire wall, so I won't need that part to be flexible but the rest I certainly will.
As it turns out the cable I was considering buying is the Temco brand. Aside from the uncertainty about its resistance to oil, multiple reviews mentioned a terrible smell to the cables that wouldn't disappear even after cleaning. That is something I want to avoid at all costs in a 14 foot box.
