I grew up using both metric and imperial measurements so I have no issues using either. Many many years ago I had to laugh when an apprentice, who was a real smart arse, read out a measurement and said three eights sixteenth at the end of it because he couldn’t relate to seven sixteenths...
Hi Adam and welcome.
I’m from Port Stephens New South Wales and have just built a 280Ah batter with cells from China and have another 4 cells on the way. I paid just over AU$900 for my first set with a Daly 250A BMS and just over AU$1000 for for my second set. Yes you can buy cheaper and take...
I live in Australia but visitIng the UK at the moment.
Ok which cheap solar blanket?
Rather than buy some things which you will later put into a spares bin which you probably won‘t use anymore have a good think about your future power usage and what you will need. Yes buy the PWM if just a...
Hi Chadd, I’m originally from Newport SW but live in Australia and currently in Mykonos on route to the UK in 2 weeks. Happy to help out but responses may take some time….will post a reply later this evening for you.
Yes and most people bin those and make their own as i did with my Giandel 3000w inverter. 2 x 3 AWG but if I hadn’t been so impatient I would of made them out of 2 AWG. My 4 AWG got warm on high current draw.
Buy one of these and set it to a 5A load. The aligator clips are useless so change them to terminal connectors to suit the size of your battery terminals.

No as I said you can connect the panels in series which will increase your voltage but the amps remain the same. This enables you to use the existing cable 10AWG cable and 20A inline fuse.
Then as CamelCase said, connect the batteries in parallel so you have a 12volt bank. The MPPT solar...
That inverter is probably not made by that company and it will just be a rebadged unit. The link below has a unit through Amazon and yes there are some bad reviews on the brand as with all types but for this model there appears to be mostly good reviews...
Ok first question.
Did you connect the solar controller to the battery first and then to the solar panels? If not that could be the issue and it send the solar controller haywire.
I would disconnect the system, panels first and then the battery, wait a few minutes then reconnect the solar...
Even though it has been hot there you won’t need it….It hasn’t been that hot .
You just plug the sensor in as your controller will be close to the battery and all you are doing is measuring the air temperature.
You will not need the cable type which is for a remote sensor and is an...
Try doing a factory reset on the BMS. I had a major issue once with one of two 250A BMS’s set up on two 12v batteries in parallel and that is what corrected it. Mind you I still have one that indicates a negative current when charging but I can live with that.
You need ring terminals in the size that either fit your terminal bolts or the bolts on the busbar like these.

and a crimper like this...
Thanks mike for your valued input. Do you know how Missoo can turn the protection settings on? I have found one manual but it did not provide any answers.
I live in Australia it currently in Athens. Go to this guys website for information on inverters then do a search in NZ to look at what u can purchase.
Hope this helps.

Hi Ampster, Yes that is fine if you are not new to Lithium and have matched cells from a reputable seller but it can be a lottery if you don’t. Too many sellers around selling cells that have not been matched and when you are buying from a person who is so far down the chain from the...
If you had posted in one of the other forums you would have had a multitude of answers by now. Yes it is very safe to build cables as you are only dealing with 12 volts and all you need to do is make sure you have a good connection and that the polarity is right. I'm in Australia and we...
