The problem is
The Ant BMS does not balance unless charging current is below 1Amp
or any cell is over the set threshold
When I discharge the BYD pack below 24V, some cells are 2.8V but some are 3.0V.
It's pretty big different and looks like I could not bottom cell easily without a dedicated...
According to that chinese manual, the standard is referred to 25C degree, value may change depended on temperature.
Personally, I dont think max/std/min make sense to me
I just hook the wifi box up with my LV2424 today.
No 12V input needed for the wifi box (YAY, and the manual says it requires AC adapter but in fact you dont need it)
Default it sends data to power-datacenter.com and honestly, it does not look secure or safe (no https)
so...
Is it possible...
I got from battery hookup, the first batch that saying 4.5kWh
I am doing less than 0.2C for charging & discharging, and I did heat up the battery pack, so YMMV
It’s always possible that the BMS isn’t reporting the correct capacity, I would need to buy a battery capacity but hard to get one in...
This evening all my ups are triggered due to the mpp solar has been shut itself off strangely.
Checking the BMS of my BYD Pack and found low voltage cut off is activated, wonder why
Recently we are expeiencing rains and snows, so the battery is not getting charged via solar.
and I did set...
From the brochure
Built-in genset starter dry contact feature allows use with generators (inverter-type generators required with remote start function)
I got the LV2424 from usa-mpp-solar 2 months ago and I am extremely happy with my purchase.
I am following the guide and get everything working
But from yesterday... the USB Port of the inverter is not working.
I tried with 3 different computers and same for all of them.
Trying to contact...
You can choose off-grid mode or Hybrid Mode (Backfeeding)
The problem is the backfeeding only happens when battery is fully charged.
In my case, I have 1.6kW solar but 9.6kWh Golf Battery system, it will never get fully charged unless i choose so.
According to the manual, backfeeding is a real...
testing full capacity of my BYD pack again with hall effect sensor
only able to measure 3.925 kWh out of the pack
and I know the hall effect sensor isnt as accurate as the one Will has (10% higher than my other clamp meter)
so it's about 3.53kWh available to use
Looks like the Ant BMS...
I got this one to put all my equipments
https://www.costco.com/lifetime-vertical-storage-shed.product.100478563.html
Lowes or Home Depots may have better price for similar shed
I am in the same boat, but I now think about it, why not just get another pack?
and this ebay one does not look like a active balancer, so far only qnbbm/deligreen one are proven working correctly with max 6Amp
batrium watchmon elite would be the best one for that but it is not out yet, and it...
How many temp sensor does this BMS have?
Considering buying this instead of the Ant BMS for my other BYD packs but I really need multiple sensors to have accurate data for low temp cut-off
(Ant BMS is great but want to explore alternative options)
The problem is when it’s going over the value, it cuts charge/discharge and no power until voltage diff is within the range of your value.
for small pack maybe it’s fine, at least it didn’t work out for me on my BYD pack. I set to 0.5V just want to make sure it didn’t randomly cut off power
So what does solar input do? charge into the battery?
But you have a 5048 unit and have phase settings, you may need to split into PV1 and PV2? no idea
I think using 230V Asian/EU model is not a great idea in NA.
1. It's adding a point of failure in the system when using step down transformer. The reason we want to use All-In-One is for simplicity.
2. The step down you posted is only rated for 2500W continuous usage. You may need two, and...
I think it's possible but be aware in the custom settings, the battery cut off voltage is 20V as lowest, when grid available is 22V
charging to 90% is about 24V.
Tesla battery can go down to about 18.5V, recommend is 20% @ 19V
so by using MPP, essentially you can only using <60% of the...
