I havent found a BMS yet. Not quite there yet. Perhaps you could recommend me one? Thank you for your comments by the way, i am grateful for all the help
Thanks for reply
14.38V was in the morning when I messed with bulk reconnect to see what it pulls. After moved it a bit it kicked in(stopped since) it was the charging voltage in bulk mode
Right now it’s 13.44V and float
A minute ago mppt turned red, battery reached max battery voltage was (14.17V?)
I rebooted after I stopped panicking
I can confirm it’s boost charging now and battery voltage increased to 14.19V
BMS reads 13.3V
Multimeter on battery terminals 13.36V
Battery has never been fully charged with...
i live in the uk. planing to tour the EU with this converted van so low temp shouldnt be an issue. panels mounted on top. no tilt option, just flat with a gap underneath.
i didnt think to divide by 13.5V. i used 12 V for calculation.
the 50A Epever MPPT will take 150 volt so i guess i can just...
hello and thanks for having a look and maybe able to help to explain this.
I have 3x330w solar on my campervan in series
Mppt is a 100A 150voc epever
250A Daly bms
304ah 12v eve lifepo4
Settings are on the screenshots.
I used another users lifepo4 settings after extensive research and YouTube...
I moved bulk charge recovery higher by 0.1 and float by 0.1.
Rebooted the system and it’s bulk charging with
14.14V 5.24A
I multimetered terminals on the mppt and it reads 14.14V
Multimeter battery terminals 13.35V
As soon as we move 0.1 higher and we reach float charge it will slow down...
Ground and negative hasn’t been drawn to remove clutter
It’s a Luton transit campervan(fibreglass coated plywood box) not metal. Might make a difference with the tent mobile shore power kit. I don’t know
Looking for confirmation it won’t kill anyone and won’t burn to the ground
Here to...
I have My solar components in the basket.
Would You guys say this checks out?
2x 410w canadian mono solar panel
(Voc:45volt, Isc:11.62A)
2x 40amp renogy rover mppt
(max input Voltage 100volt)
4x 280ah 3.2V eve lifepo4 cells to make a 12v 280ah battery
I’m in the Uk and all we have is very rainy days. Total cloud all day. So I haven’t even been able to see what my panels are pulling. 6amps was the max I have seen when it was charging. Panels have been on my roof for a year and very dirty. I cleaned them the other day. I know partially shade on...
I can fit both panels within the 100volt max(i have 2x100volt)
problem is the price Of the 80amp mppts. I went with 2x40amp for better prices
Am I missing something?
My van is outside in UK
Not much sun past 3 weeks just rain.
I run a fridge off my inverter only
Today I noticed battery is flat. I can’t charge it.
Got these errors and chg mos and discharge mos are off.
My mppt got an error as well - battery over discharged.
Any tips how could I resolve...
is it possible to connect my laptop with the daly "BMS monitor" app or other BMS app via the bluetooth connection i already own to my 4s 12v daliy bms?
i successfully connected to my phone app and programed it. but i cant seem to change the "CURRENT WAVE" function which supposed to allow my bms...
First of all thank you for the lengthy reply. I’ll try to start measuring the connections.
The manual is useless. The best explanation I found was by forum members.
I already got the mc4 3-1 connector.
Solar wire is 12AWG factory fitted 4mm2? Changing it would be extremely hard considering...
i ended up buying 3 cheap but new panels with this controller
spec:
JA SOLAR (JAM50s17) 330W panels
Voc 41.08 V
Vmp 34.24V
Isc 10.3A
Imp 9.54A
i want to use this mppt
Epever 80A max 150V
im worried about frying the system
i want to series connect the 3 panels
Do you think ill be alright?
These are my panels. Bit dirty and the back is getting a bit of shade from the apple tree
battery voltage right now on the mppt app is 13.43 on the BMS app it’s only 13.3
SOC is 100% on the mppt and 57.3% on the bms
I really can’t wrap my head around the concept of float / bulk and bulk...
I just bought this unit and someone made worried in a YouTube video where he tests with a test plug to see correct wiring in the unit. When it’s on shore power the RCD test works as intended but when the unit works of 12v leisure battery the tester shows open ground error.
