Hi, recently installed the Solax X1-AC 3.6 and Triple 5.8 battery.
Works, shows no fault. Charges from grid to 100% and discharge 10%.
Problem is that the house loads are not using battery. Just racking up the house meter power.
On Self Use so battery should give priority to house loads..
Chint meter DDSU666-CT requires both meter and the black CT clamp but even the inverter manual does not show that setup and Solax says there is not a proper diagram. So yes, point CT towards the grid but does not show the location of the CT.
So I placed the CT live between house meter then the Chint modbus meter, then the charger AC inverter.
Solax no proper help or response regarding ‘house loads not being used by battery’. Frustrating as I do not want to export the full battery to the grid.
Did you have a number for Solax uk help?
Does anybody know why I cannot use the battery power for house loads?
The Growatt PV when sunny, will supply washing machine etc. without using a penny, so house meter reading stays still.
thanks, Steve

Hi,
I'm surprised you have meter with a clamp, on my system all current going through meter (without any additionalCT clamp) placed between grid smart meter and house load and then signal going from meter to inverter via RS485.

Yes. previously the chint modbus meter could use without a clamp, another installer said similar
previously.
however the DDSU666-CT supplied by the Solax bundle has meter and the CT wires attach onto the meter.
I think I will try without the clamp and see what happens and as why Solax has changed the chint meter setup.

Also I believe I might have made an error by inverter charger ac cable going straight onto Consumer unit via a spare mcb. rather than straight through to the house meter.
Quite possibly why house loads are not using the battery, just discharging charging for export.
Thanks, Steve

Hi Steve, have solax X1 Boost 3.6 and 5.2kw array, with iboost+ for over 18 months, heats the HW and exports to Grid now in October 22
have Solax X1 AC 3.6kW inverter plus Solax T58 Master Battery plus T58 Slave total 11.6kW installed.

I only have CT from Solax X1 AC3.6kw inverter to Grid live cable

My CT pins 1 and 4 is on the Grid Live input after DNO Meter and before Henley block and inserts RG45 connector into the inverter.... No meter
Solax X1 AC3.6kw inverter settings.....
Meter setting to CT
Export is set to 0
Voltage 230v for 2 batteries

If I take out the RG45 connector the inverter shuts down and goes into fault mode.... RED ICON on screen of inverter;
same if I take off the CT clamp off the Grid Live cable...

Solax App shows both PV and Battery stats... and works with Octopus Go for charging 0030-0430 hrs under Settings'
Basic, Work Mode, Force Time Use; Both Charge Periods 1 and 2 have identical times for Octopus Go for charging.

Which is the same set times for my EV charger using Hypervolt 2.0 to charge the EV which is fine and working, 7.5kw per hour
for over 30kw charge to car. Also Solar PV charge via Hypervolt works at 1.6kw or 6 A.

All has been working fine.... until I seen your message, and made my own investigations.... You are correct their is
something odd with house base load.... 50-100w over 24 hour period is nearly 2.4kw of grid input..
My Octopus Go iphone App has Day tab which shows current 5min or 30 min live data, and total usage and Live tab use.... showing 100w live use
my electric has reduced to half and very happy... now using off peak at 7.5p per kw to charge both batteries instead of 43p per kw, so making a saving... but is that a normal for Solax inverter and batteries to use that amount to work.

Have you contacted Solax Uk, do the inverters need firmware update...

Have you done anymore investigating...

Hi i had a similar issue, the solax app shows zero grid import, but my smart meter was reporting a constant 100-150w import from the grid (despite having PV and battery capacity).
going through various other forums etc, i then found a reference to the PGRID BIAS setting in the advanced settings. this was set to INV (presume by default?). Changing this to disabled immediately reduced the grid import usage to Zero on the smart meter :)

@M1keS which inverter are talking Solax Hybrid or Solax AC model.

How to find your setting you change

At moment can not see where that setting is on Solax AC model in settings

Glad it’s worked for you.

Ok bathe Op and I have solax AC model just checked the manual no reference.

Can you elaborate how to go from Advanced setting to next position to check ie
Advanced>Grid?>?>?

Thanks will help a lot to find on solax AC model but PGrid Bias I can’t find

in mine it appears under Advanced/Pgrid Bias = Disable
(it may be a recent firmware option you may need to ask Solax to update it.) it is not listed as a setting my my user manual.
i'll add a screenshot from the app.

@M1keS thanks for the info greatly appreciated. The Solax AC model does not have anything like that in Advanced settings;
Steep learning curve to understand how it all works. at the end of the day I am not importing house base load now and saving £1 a day withe system running.

Thanks again roll on spring for some extra solar to charge the batteries and run house load instead of Octopus Go off peak which has also saved a lot at 7.5p per kWh

Update on this reference import on house load not utilising Solax Battery Storage 11.6kW.

My original RJ45 cable is “un-shielded” type running next to my live tails from Henley Block splitter, through wall to Main Meter and CT clamp attached to Main Live cable after DNO Meter.

Purchased new “STP” Shielded RJ45 cable, 5M also drilled new hole in brick wall to enter the Main Electric Meter box on outside wall from inside my Garage which has the house Consumer Unit, to accommodate the CT clamp data cable away from electrical live wiring interference from previous Live Tails to the Mini CU for solar PV and Solax batteries MCB’s.

The only other changes on the Solax X1 AC 3.6kW inverter was CT clamp Arrow on device (attached to Main Live Grid in Main Meter Box on outside wall) to face towards Consumer Unit Not as per Solax manual towards Grid (as previously installed) plus a change on Solax App under Settings in Advanced (photo attached) was to Change

Meter/CT1 Direction - Postive (Default Setting).

To

Meter/CT1 Direction - Negative

My Octopus Home Mini shows Live date for 5mins and 30mins data now showing 0 Grid
Instead of erratic 100-150W as before and importing daily 2.4kWh at 43p/hour which now has been stopped.

I have this same issue but my base load never drops below ~300watts (unless Solar is generating more than is required.). I am going to try and run a new shielded CAT cable in isolation to debug.
