Seems like you need a precharge circuit when bringing a battery into parallel.

If you are trying to connect batteries with large voltage differences, it might help.
I have never had an issue.
With LFP, even with different voltages, it's usually not an issue at all. Currents between packs rarely exceed 100A when paralleling and tend to last for a few seconds at most.

HiIt's really not an issue to parallel these - just make sure you appropriately fuse each pack. I even told JK about this and they added my diagram on their product page at some point. Read the couple of posts on this linked here:

If parallel battery packs are required, the same voltage can reduce the chance of failure, But it's hard to achieve, Or add a discharge diode in each battery pack, which is the way we are currently considering How is the same voltage hard to achieve? 90% of the charge curve is at the same...diysolarforum.com
I did read the thread after posting here. Rookie mistake - should have read the threads first I guess.
I think you were talking to the JK shop on AliExpress. I was talking to the JKBMS factory. They have confirmed that - with the addition of this parallel module - you can wire them in parallel. However it makes no sense because they state you only need one battery with the module but if you are wiring more than 2 in parallel than you effectively only have one battery protected and two unprotected. Looking at the wiring diagram does not add any light either.
When I showed you wiring and protection for parallel to JBD they were still adament that they could not allow parallel connections. It seems to be a warranty / claim / legal issue because there is no technical reason you cannot implement your approach.

Yes, that's the feedback I've gotten 'in the margin' while talking to some of the manufacturers. Even in the industry, batteries are paralleled like this...

Well, between the time they came out of the battery and the time they went to the dump, they both developed multiple .30 caliber holes in them somehow.
I've been running two of mine for close to 5 years, with an additional two for the past two years or something. I'll add another two this year.

oh sorry didn't see this... damn my jk boss is gonna yell at me now
I get 80% commission for jk bms sales and 90% for other bms. Obviously by making up specs it sells more which is why I got my #1 assistant @upnorthandpersonal drawing diagrams about it too. @timselectric also is a good assistant but he doesn't draw diagrams for them yet
