Be aware....Just tried to order $2000 worth of batteries from <vendor> and they rejected my C Card. That produced a Fraud alert and cancelled card.

That was your bank doing that, not the company.

Did you receive a text or an email or a phone call asking you if it was fraud?

My bank whenever I make online purchases even if it's similar to other ones I've done will randomly ask me to verify if it is fraud.

All I have to do is reply Y or N to the text.

Yep. Something else is going on here and it's not Eco Worthy's doing....

How in the world could a vendor manage to cancel your card?
Title doesn't say that, it says:

That produced a Fraud alert and cancelled card.

meaning his credit card company (not related to bank, as other post says, unless it's a bank specific CC) saw the charge as possible fraud and "cancelled" the card
Generally they'll just put a hold on the payment though. OP must have a bad track record so they cancel it instead lol

I have had my credit card placed on a "security hold" or "frozen" until I verify the purchases. Never had it cancelled until I confirmed the fraudulent purchases.
Yeah your CC company will usually try to confirm the transaction. Cancelling the card is a bit extreme.
The transaction was first rejected by eco. Then the cc asked if the transaction was completed and was it made by me.

It was rejected on the eco website and about 10 minutes later from the cc company asking if I had made the purchase which I didn't because eco rejected it!

Cc company is bank....

And there it is...

This was your mistake. You should have said, "yes, I attempted to make that purchase." It didn't go through because your bank flagged it when the charge attempt was made.

Every now and than it seems that the CC system has a screw up and either refuses a Merchants charge or asks if the charge is legit. Some merchants will blacklist cards that get rejected by the CC co. and refuse to resubmit where as others you just have to start over again. It is all about trying to prevent fraud.

Trying to get approval to use a CC on Aliexpress requires you to submit your Drivers license (front and back image) and Credit card image (front and back) before they will let you use it for larger purchases.

I think you are little confused about how this works.
1. You make a purchase on the website.
2. Website submits purchase request to bank for authorization approval code.
3. Apparently your bank (CC) did not approve the purchase.
4. You were notified by Eco Worthy that your purchase did not go through.

7. Bank concluded a fraudulent purchase attempt was made.
8. Bank cancelled your card.

Vendor rejected the card but then processed the payment apparently and the bank asked if I had made this transaction and I said it was rejected.

That's not how this worked. Immediately, within seconds, the card was rejected on the eco website. I cancelled the order and 10 minutes later I get an email from Chase, asking if I completed this purchase. Since it was obviously submitted to Chase I'm thinking that the eco site was hacked or phished.

Now you know it takes time to get a new card and lots of inconvenience. What a PIA. Use Pay Pal or something other than your CC.
I can't get onboard with this blanket statement. There are reasons to use CC rather than PayPal, like higher cashback, warranty, protection, points, etc.

You can always have your CC canceled (like losing it), if there are recurring payments they should be on isolated CCs or something to manage the blast radius

There are no people involved. It all happens within seconds. I am a business owner (over 30 years). I process a lot of transactions and make a lot of purchases.

This is not an Eco problem. This happens all the time. Work it out with your bank. Eco can't cancel your card. Only you or your bank can

There a lot more happening here than is apparent…..usually this only happens when the bank is protecting itself and the card holder or both…OR the bank is aware of some skullduggery from someone doing somthing…
