Just got another one to double my system for $1206. Its an amazing good deal that I bet was a misprint or closeout.

Yup I bought one. I don't need another. But more power always better? Good for when (if) we get that homestead property we want....

That’s a heck of a price. Aren’t they typically $4500? I almost went the radian route back in the day and was interested in their Grid Zero solution.

They're closer to $3500 now but yeah still a steal.

We built are own place that is entirely off grid and powered by a single 8048a. The thing is reliable as hell and works flawlessly always. Only problem is my wife wants to run the drier, washer, hvac, while boiling water in her kettle and vacuuming. The dishwasher may want to run aswell. Yeah I couldn't pass it up.

Back up to $2700 now. Still a decent price.
I got an email this morning that they were canceling my order because they sold out. Interesting they still have it listed, just at a higher price... still a good price, but odd nonetheless.
Not as inclined to buy an extra "Just because" for more than 2x the deep sale price. I can't justify the extra expense. Plus, I'm fully awake right now, not almost asleep at 11PM like I was when I placed my order for $1200 one!

They emailed me about cancelling my order because it is "sold out. " Funny that I can still buy it on there website for the non sale price. I think someone miskeyed pricing data and they trying to back out of sales. I emailed back asking to wait until it comes back in stock. I think I might call them lol

So I emailed them and got back the following reply from Ben:

Ben Farmer

We liquidated in stock units and are drop ship going forward at a higher cost. You can still order online but at a higher price. I'll cancel the order and refund your card.

Repliedwith...

Ben,

It really is an unethical business practice and is a classical bait and switch. A “bait and switch” is a scam to mislead buyers, whereby a seller advertises an appealing but ingenuine offer to sell a product or service that the seller does not actually intend to sell. This is what you guys have done to multiple customers today.

Probably pushing it to far but I think people should know this is happening at this site.

I just went back to their site to estimate shipping when you said they're drop shipping (OK so what does shipping end up being, still $420 truck? Yes) and now the site shows it for almost $3500, but if you order 6+ you get them for $2513 each!

Wow.

I saw the $1200, shipping estimate for one to residential was $600.
So I messaged asking about shipping two and to freight terminal.

This morning when $2700 was mentioned above, I saw that, now see $3500.

While the claim of in-stock vs. drop-ship could be true, a pricing error is also possible.
Can anyone report their purchase for $1200 went through?

At the low price, I considered them for AC coupling to Sunny Boy systems I plan for family and friends. Half the cost of ABU for SBS or similar that SBSE will require.

I am also keen to ascertain whether anyone received an order from this weekend's sale. Typically, I expect companies with such high acclaim to prioritize customer satisfaction. Ordinarily, when you place an order with them, they ensure shipment even if there are delays. However, this was not the case here. I anticipate reviews from customers, as this company boasts only five-star ratings, yet they may need a reality check. Their pristine reputation might warrant a serving of humble pie.

Heh, they don't even have it listed anymore. Only the AC coupling kit.

In my experience, which may be outdated, Altestore and NAZWS are both kind of old school in their operations. Their web store is not so advanced that it is the source of truth for their stock levels. If you want to be sure of availability it's always better to call them and the live person can give you a real answer.

Sure it's annoying to get excited and then cancelled but I don't think anyone needs to get all huffy and puffy about ethics or something. Not every business needs to try to be Amazon for you and satisfy your craving for always on, on demand, instant gratification consumerism. We have it 100x better than anyone has ever had it before.
