This is a bit off topic, but I know there are some electrical geniuses lurking around here and I'm hoping for some input. I have a couple of fluorescent fixtures in my camper that I'd like to convert over to 12V LED tubes and bypass the ballast. I'm sure it is fairly straight forward but I'd like to make sure before I dive in. Other folks on a FB group have suggested replacing the entire fixture to save the headache and maybe they're right, but that seems...I dunno, wasteful or lazy; something like that. Anyhow, heres what I have for pics. If you need a better shot or something specific, please let me know. Thank you!

Assuming you can find 12v tubes that fit in there, you'll have to figure out the polarity and just wire the leads to the appropriate ends of the tombstones.

Hardest part is likely to be finding the right size tubes, the rest is easy.

Nah, the tubes are easy to find.

Actually, I just found my answer in that listing! It is pretty straight forward...send positive to one side of the tube and negative to the other side. I just wasn't sure how it was going to work, but that is super simple!

Or gut everything out. And install 12vdc led strips.
I'm assuming they had lenses on them.

Yeah, it has a metal cover over the wiring and ballast and a frosted plastic cover over the whole thing.
What kind of LED strips are you referring to?
