Soft start for our current pumps?

We have two 220v deep wells, unsure of the pump specs, but I see they draw 1500-2000w when running. I understand they draw five times that when starting.
I am having multiple alerts on my dual 6000EX setup about EPS Over Load.

I'd like to find a Soft-Start for both pumps, assuming this ties in between the breaker and the pump somewhere.

Any reccomendations?

Thanks!!

I've heard and read a lot of good reviews about this one. As always do your own research and don't take some random guys advice off of the internet.

This subject has come up multiple times and the only answer I've ever seen is "you need to get a new pump". Google "Grundfos SQ" for a very inverter friendly pump.

Not that it helps you but do you know if they are "2-wire" or "3-wire" pumps?

3-wire pumps have a control box above ground and three wires going to the pump. There's a capacitor in that control box and they are a bit easier to start than a 2-wire. Of course the only way to convert to from 2-wire to a 3-wire is a new pump.

Highly recommended for an air conditioner but do they have one for a well pump? If you click on thier "which model do I need" and choose "other" it spits this out.

EasyStart connects directly to the windings of the motor to control it. This means applications like completely contained submersible pumps or well pumps cannot be adapted. Some well pumps do have capacitors mounted above ground, so these systems can be adapted to use EasyStart. Micro-Air has adapted washdown pump motors, RO pumps, and dive pumps successfully with some engineering work we've been hired for by the manufacturer/end user.

So, No.. UGH. Looks like I’ll have to replace THREE well pumps. Egads that’s expensive.
