Strange LIFEPO4 battery terminals

Please explain what these strange terminals on the battery are? Are they designed only for spot welding, or is it a used assembly cut into parts?Screenshot_1.png
 
No expert here but my best guess is they're covers to stop swarf falling into the female threads underneath, best bet is to ask the supplier you got the cells from.
 
Seller's response: You didn't ask for the screw terminals to be soldered, so we sent them that way. :fp I will make a return. Thank you you replies
Weird but guess you’re getting it taken care of.

They are nickel strapping like on cylindrical cells. It's there so one could solder wires to the the terminals. Aluminum does not solder with traditional solder. Nor does it solder well with speciality solder. It's not really a great idea for a cell this large and I've not seen it before on this size. Mainly I've seen it on the smaller ~50a cells.
