Just hooked up my two 6-slot lifepower4 racks, updated the firmware on all of them, hooked them up to my 18kpv inverter, I get 51V at the battery input inside the inverter but the inverter is not recognizing the batteries and is giving a solid orange warning light.
Am I missing something?
HELP!

You need to use the battery comms cable that came with the inverter. If you need to make a longer one the pin out is in the manual

I know this feedback doesn't help with your issue but.. I'd like to offer a suggestion:

The MPPT connections, and load connection.. are both missing the bushing/cap.

Even if you aren't subject to code/inspections/etc, I'd advise getting some bushings. it'll help prevent chaffing the wires, which can pose significant headaches down the road (erratic behavior, shorts, possibly fires) etc. it'd only cost about $2, and 10 minutes of your time. :)

I'm having the same issue with the EG4 18Kpv not communicating with (2x) Evo Kong Elite batteries. These batteries have no port at all to plug in the supplied cable. When I contacted Evo their (1st level) support rep said the EG4 is not compatible with the Kong Elite batteries, but I purchased these as a bundled kit from Shopsolar who says they are (but need 48 hours to get back to me with a fix )

The trip by no AC, you will just need to turn on “run without grid”.

I had noticed when we would 'run without grid' on the lady's 18kpv system I was helping with, then the generator wouldn't charge the batteries, so had to disable that setting and just live with the error and alarm light amber on. Unless you know of a new firmware that will fix that coming soon? I haven't went over there to check firmware since a couple months ago, I had put the latest one on last time I was there though.

I'm not familiar with EVO Kong batteries. However, if there is not an RS485 or CAN communication port available on the battery, you would have to run the 18kPV in the lead-acid battery type.
