Renogy battery monitor high amp reading on microwave and toaster

I recently installed a Renogy 500A battery monitor in my travel trailer. All set up for the 600 AH LiFePO4 battery bank. When I start the 2500 watt PSW inverter, and turn on the microwave (11 amp/1350 watts) the monitor shows 136 amps and 1.7 KW draw. The toaster (10 amp/1200 watts) shows 76 amps and 1 KW draw. I took the microwave to the inverter and plugged it in to one of the plugs on the unit (to by pass any wire sizing issues in the trailer) and the same amps draw. Is that reading for the amount of draw normal?

Is the 1350 watts from the input label or the advertised cooking power? Input is going to be close to 30% more than cooking power. 136 amps is about what my Dometic pulls on battery so I call normal.

The resistance of the toaster is fairly simple and probably overstated. Rating is probably at a full 125 volts. Most likely normal. Check a space heater... probably also draws less than rating.

And for both the inverter is maybe 90% efficient so add another 10% to the amp draw vs the direct conversion.

Jip its normal.
A 700watt microwave use about 1045 to 1200watts.
And no its not use to lower that watts to 500 it still use the same watts but than in a time puls.

Reason a lot rv or caravan in my country use a oven.
That is most spot on wat it rate to do.
So on wallpower i use my microwave.
For the inverter i use a oven for it 800watts
And a tosti iron 700 watts that can make my tosti bread and it can do hamburg

See foto wat i mean.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, the ratings I posted are from the manufacturer's product manual. The 1350/11.25 amps watts is input. The output (cooking power) is 900 watts/7.5 amps. So, 900 watts at 30% increase would be around 1170 watts for the input. So close enough for what you are describing. Same for the toaster. Thanks. I am reassured that these readings aren't faulty, but to be expected. Cheers! Edit... After a number of tripped fuses in the cable to the inverter when the microwave was running (for no more than 10 seconds) I searched an came across this. I was using one of the black square breaker/fuses ( we have all seen and use them). This bit of advice saved me a fortune in upgrading the invereter and cables. Easily done when you are lost in trouble shooting maze. PS, I bought the Go Power FBL-300 300 Amp Fuse Class T with Block. (Blue Sea has similar if that is your go to for fuses.)
Short video on the fuse swap....

Yeah microwaves list heating wattage not including the loses, good thing you don’t have a 1500w microwave, you’d be close to the limit of the inverter.
Thanks for that advice. I was blowing the breaker/fuse in the positive cable to the inverter, too. So I upped it from 250 to 300 amps for the 2500 watt inverter. That solved the tripping problem. also, no overheating wires. So all seems to be good. Thanks and Cheers!

A tip.
Next time do this .

Watts are watts .

1350watt : 12volt (wat systeem u use) =112a + 10%123a.

Really easy.

Thanks for that information. My inverter is handling the toaster load. So no issues with tripping fuses. though I did up from 250 to 300 for the microwave. From what others have said, I am relieved these high amp draw numbers for these appliances are normal. Good camping everyone, and thank you all very much for your input. Good camping!
