Have you considered bus bars, and make the lug connections outside of the inverter?

Why not just double some 2/0 and be done with it? That is what it was designed for.

Heat is lost power. There are two sizes of 4/0 cabling. One has more strands and is bigger diameter. Marine cabling may carry more current with less losses?

not an issue at all to file down the lugs so they fit in that tight spot.

Yes, it is a 5th wheel RV.

They are tinned copper lugs. Would never use aluminum lugs.

Yes, not so much. The knock outs will not work well with a single good quality 4/0 with adhesive shrink wrap. And why the connections below the main feeds, wapita.
