I know we have seen all kinds of people making videos causing batteries to explode on purpose. Something like this video seeing a dog cause the fire via a real world incident catches my attention more. Especially having dogs that like to chew things :)

One remarkable thing is the behavior of the animals. The first reaction of all the dogs and the cat was natural instinct and the best practice. RUN AWAY!

The interesting thing is that the white dog originally chewing on the battery coming back and watching the inferno at quite close range. (I see a disturbing similarity to human behavior.) On the other hand, one can not say in this situation that "curiosity killed the cat". Gotta be an example of a smart cat with functional self-preservation drive.

Just my luck. I bought a box of leather battery cases to sell on Amazon and ebay.

Looks like manufacturers will have to add "do not chew" to the list of warnings. Maybe add the Mr. Yuck picture.

A stupid user and dog owner

Dogs are like children
Things like this you ensure that the dog or child can not have it the first place

Same with guns and bullets just in a draw and a child can thake it.

This is a powerpack .
But the same can be done with a phone.
A dog try to kill a iPhone and you have the same problem

This is a good video to .
A battery from a bicycle and go in a elevator.
You never thinks it can be you

Warning not for weak people

Another sad case of a DIY dog. I bet it was not U/L listed and likely did not meet code for installation. Only properly licensed and certified dog installers should ever be allowed to pull a permit to put a dog in place. The news abounds with the dangers caused by dogs running loose.

Municipalities and Local governments need to step up and ensure National codes are met. I expect the Insurance companies will soon start disallowing claims caused by dogs off their leashes.

A good few years back I bought Samsung phone brought it home and immediately put it on charge within 30 minutes one the dogs went to chew the cable pulling the phone off the shelf and smashing it lesson learnt protect your belongings from animals.

More recently I've discovered the genius of soy based polymers which are used in some outdoor cat6 cables I purchased that squirrels find incredibly tasty, won't be buying eco friendly outdoor cable ever again......

At least he was vaccinated. (Did I just assume its gender?!)
