Did I ruin my battery?

Hello, I think I messed up My BMS. I was messing around with settings and calibrated the charge levels to idle (don’t ask why) and all of a sudden my battery bank (lifepo4) dropped from 220 to 145. Now it gives me inaccurate ah outputs. For example before when I ran a fan it would say that I was putting out 85 watts and 4 ah. Now on the two lower fan settings it says zero and on the highest it says 1.5 but it still runs just fine. My phone charged off inverter but says no power is going out. Wtf? I also tried to balance the cells. I know I shouldn’t have done any of this without experience but how do I fix it? I am using the XiaoxiangBMS app please help. I’m worried I may have damaged it irrevocably.

I doubt you ruined your battery. You can confirm by establishing the cell voltages are within acceptable limits. Can't help you without knowing what was done. Is there a "factory defaults" option in settings?

There is not a factory reset unfortunately. Do you know a better BMS monitoring app? This is the last reading I had and the second picture is the options I pressed. I essentially just pressed “idle calibration” and balanced the cells. Immediately I lost 40 percent charge and now it won’t tell
Me an accurate reading of output power

Does that link to Online Manual in the second pic work? Might be some clues in there.

you may give me shit for this
Not my style.
But I got it off alibaba
Lots of people get things off alibaba. I'm not concerned about that, I was trying to figure out if your specific battery has one of the JBD BMS units that other people are familiar with or if it's something else entirely.

Since asking for the link I realized all the info was in your first screenshot. It's a JBD-SP04S020... 100A version. So it's slightly different than the 120A versions that are currently popular with forum members. I've already tagged the two members I could think of with in-depth experience with that type of BMS (this post). If neither of them chime in, you could try sending them a PM using the little envelope icon on the top right.

Thank you so much. I just got back to the battery and noticed it was fully charged, it is saying it’s over voltage though. Never did that before. Generally what should I do to correct that?

Hi
Just saw this thread - have you tried disconnecting the power from the BMS? Is it possible in your setup.
I think there is a way to restore defaults but my batteries are outside and it is night time here.
If you go onto that GitHub there is alsoa wealth of info on it with FAQ as well. I will have a look at the BMS tomorrow and get back to you.
Regards

The current sense shunts in BMS's are pretty sloppy tolerance, They are individually calibrated for their given resistance.

If you changed or lost the calibration value in memory it would explain your results. Hopefully will retreive original calibration from flash memory if repowered.,

Hi
Have a read of this thread - I believe Pierre does talk about the calibration of the shunt somewhere.

Regards
