OK, so I am a nerd.

I purchased a couple 25 watt solar panels, a controller and brackets from eco-worthy. I jury rigged the panels into 2p. Controller can handle 10 amps, each panel is 1.5 or so, so no issue. Terrible little pwm controller, but this is for fun, so I really don't care.

Wires it up to feed the 12 volt lithium battery on my EV sxs. Not really to charge it, but to keep a little juice flowing while I'm out and about. Just a goofy project.

Just just rigged for now, to see how it works. Battery is at 13.22v right now. Let's see where we end up tomorrow, after a day of sun.

Posted from my phone so if I messed up pics, please excuse me.

Agreed by a 10A controller will charge at 10A max, its not necessarily what it will "handle", whatever that is exactly.

Those are not as bad as you think. The USB port is mighty handy too.

The charge voltage is configurable on these. I think for lithium, it works best setting the charge voltage to what you'd want your float voltage to be, especially if it sits in the sun when not in use.

Handle = max amps in my vernacular. Please excuse me if that is not the 100% accepted NEC approved wording.

The controller is gonna be buried, but I do have a USB wired in my cockpit. It is very handy.

Yeah, the controlled is set to Gel, which is what they offer for Lithium. Not a ton of configuration available beyond that.

Well, came home and battery at 13.66. So it works. Fun little project. Now on to the 260 watts of flexible panels to charge the 48 volt bank
