Amazon Sucks Big-Time!

Very strange that the article has a run date from last month but the author cites examples saying "You have until July 10th 2017 to use this". Like they just put a new date and ran a 2 year old article.

Through it all, I love having Prime, I have never had an issue with Amazon, and is it really worth getting so angry about something you can't control that you are risking having a stroke over it?

I ordered a desktop mic stand for my Skype and Hangouts time. I ordered it just before the Browns game stared Sunday. I had it Monday morning at 8:30. 19 1/2 hours after I ordered it. If you prefer to drive to stores looking for tings, have at it. I like when people wait on me this way. The other guy joining you in this rant against Amazon (and I set him to ignore long ago so I don't remember his name) is angry about everything if you follow his posting history. Serious need for psychiatric help there. Life is way too short and precious to waste railing against some internet company that nobody is forcing you to patronize.

Take a breath. If Amazon falls short of your expectations, don't use it. Problem solved.

So much anger over relatively nothing. Hate Amazon all you like. Just don't try to convince me to join you. I ordered a desktop mic stand for my Skype and Hangouts time. Exactly! Everybody needs to chill a bit.

...And the Amazon saga continues... :-/ The helpful rep that helped me yesterday called me this morning to see if everything was OK. I told her it looked ok and I see the gift card credit. I hadn't ordered the fridge again yet, been busy and on phone for 2 1/2 hours yesterday with Amazon. I just decided to ONLY get the fridge today and be done with it. They wanted me to add a credit card????? I just bought Will's book, and a fridge and 40 other things. ??? I added another credit card any way. Proceeded to check out with the gift card credit for my fridge and they want to charge me $10.63 in addition??? The supposed supervisor today, hung up on me and told me to call back. I wasn't rude or irate. I just asked what the problem is. I called back again. I had to call back and be transferred again to another supervisor. He said he would give me the credit for the $10.63. I asked him to call me when it's done -he said he would....I will never use Amazon again after this.

It's probably tax. They just started charging tax, and it doesn't show up until the very end when you checkout. Not a great way to do it.

P>S> I never even got to use Prime because I never received the goods I ordered in the FIRST PLACE. I have waited more than patiently for resolution...almost a month later...still no resolution, as of this moment.

Just curious-what fridge are you getting?
not saying.... weren't you the one who told me about the compact printer....? I had it in my cart, now its not available....sold out I guess. I can't get anything from this company

Yup that was me.

Where did this sudden influx of AMZN defenders come from? lol

My position on it is primarily one of lack of ethics that comes from too much pricing power and control over information. I understand most don't see the bad things they are doing, and that's part of the point.... the deception. Tricking good Americans is not OK. E-Business has been my profession for 20 years. So, I'll see things the average person isn't going to catch.

The only solution is to reduce their market share in eCommerce. That is the only thing I've seen turn these companies around... true competition.

@Bigbillsd put it best when he discovered after canceling Prime that there are a lot of good options out there. You don't need to be locked into a single vendor, nor should you ever be. While I love Netflix, I now make it a point to cancel for a few months at a time to force myself to see what is out there. There is a whole world outside of Netflix, like pluto.tv, kodi.tv and xumo.tv, just as there is a whole world outside of Amazon.

the supv said it would take 10 to 20 minutes to give me the credit of $10.63 and would call me when it is applied...how long has it been? HOURS and no credit...

WTF? I spent my hard earned money, OVER $4,000 and received NOTHING. So it's all my fault and I should just chill out?

No, apologies, I was NOT referring to you at all. You have a very legitimate gripe. I'm out.

@Santa It appears that Prime has become a religion that people are willing to defend by attacking those who raise questions and pursue an intelligent discussion around. lol

I just wish they gave their money to feed and clothe the poor instead of the Church of Bezos.

@New Mexico Will is a good guy. Go easy on him. :)

I feed and clothe myself every day. I also volunteer at the animal shelter and help with the canned food drive at Christmas. But I love Amazon. Maybe I'll have a nice corner in hell. ?

check out camel camel camel to see what prices Amazon charges for things sold by them and third parties. Even used via their site. I often use it to know what a good price for something sold on Amz. Its useful if you use amazon. That printer was $30 this month. (probably 29.99.) You can see back up to about 4 years ago. Looks like third parties were selling that printer for less than $10 back in late 2016 and early 2017.

I would bet amazon will make you whole again. No business wants an unhappy customer. They tell everyone they can about the problem, where as a happy customer tells maybe a few if any about it.

Dang, that printer was 29.99, not on sale. Now it's 39.99 on sale from 79.99. I guess they figured out it was a good deal and jacked up the price.

I had the white one in the cart for $29.99! Now it's back in stock, but costs $44.99 just a few days later! I just won't pay that out of principal. That's a 50% mark up! Maybe they think I'm rich because I spent so much over a couple days to get my solar system supplies. I feel like they did that so I would have to pay more. I don't trust them for anything. I still have to call my bank to see if the proper charges and refunds were given to me.

Amazon did NOT make me whole. I only received 2 items out of about 40? items. (And maybe I will receive the refrigerator). They have no intention of doing that. I don't believe they even have the competence to do that. I've spent hours on the phone with them. It's been almost a month. It's just not worth all the stress....What is camelcamelcamel? I didn't see the white printer there.
