Well my lead acid batteries are officially done, not enough juice to charge my phone (4 6 volt golf cart batteries). I got 15 years out of them so they don't owe me anything. Here is what I am thinking of replacing them with 8 280 ah lithium iron phosphate batteries. This will more than double my capacity, lead acid where 220 ah. I was going to order from here:
I was going to use a 100 amp over kill BMS.
Does it look like a good match. I was thinking of ordering an extra 2 batteries since this is not the manufacturer and I can't be guaranteed quality.

What is your largest amp draw? Are you going 24v? Where will this be used?

Ordering an extra CELL or two isn't a bad idea. Some forum member do that, most don't.

Sorry should have provided more details. 24 Volts system 1500 watt magnum ME-RC inverter maximum draw 100 amp. Light use, lights and charging. Off grid system with generator backup 1000 watts solar.

A 1500 watt inverter @ 24 volts would have a nominal draw of 62 amps. A 100 amp Overkill Solar 24v 8s BMS would fit that. Their 4s 12v BMS has been shown to handle the rated 120 amp capacity very well, even well above that.

I think you'll be impressed with how well the LiFePO4 cells do. Faster charging, no maintenance, smaller footprint.
