Renogy Closing?

Just wondering what may be going on at Renogy. Can they be a victim of their own success and now lack of products. Not the customer service that Will has spoke about in the past.
For the past two weeks I have been dealing with a wrong battery being shipped and after countless phone calls and emails. I have had zero, less than zero success in resolving the issue. Too late for me to back out of them now. In too deep. So far I have spent hours on the phone with them with no toll free number from Canada that I could find. Their support team in the Philippines are rock stars. Folks in the USA and Canada. Not so much.
Just Wonder if anyone has some in sight

I haven't heard anything about closing, but I haven't had great experience with them. Don't even bother FINALLY replying to my damned email a full 2 months after I send it! Increasingly I have the same abysmal experiences with Lorex, Amcrest and a few others. Renogy, Lorex and Amcrest have all sent to me wrong info, false claims, or they just flat out don't really know their products or the real technology involved.

So I started demanding that multiple departments are all copied on all emails, I want sales, marketing, engineering, second level support, I want the friggin president of the company . . . and I want my MTV NOW!

You stay on death hold, then get transferred elsewhere, then the call is either such a crappy VOIP connection that it's totally unintelligible 3rd world gibberish, or just gets dropped and you have to start allll over again.

I am in western Australia and get nothing helpful from renogy Australia on there dedicated customer service email. I too am in too deep to just drop it.
Cheers Pete

I bought solar panels from HQST (which is a sister company of Renogy). Honestly, I believe many of the products are the same just branded HQST or Renogy). I had a broken panel. Email response was typically 24 hrs but replacement product took 3+ months due to everything coming form China. BTW, I believe all the charge controller products for both companies come from SRNE in China. Maybe bypass the middleman for your answers. http://www.srneenergy.com/

When you're getting nowhere you might have to just cut your losses and move on. I knew nothing about Renology before I joined this forum, now I wouldn't even consider looking at their products. They seem to get a really bad wrap.

Cut my loses would be around, 3 grand. So starting with a new supplier who could be no different would not be very prudent. Some Companies that excelled at customer service are now suffering in their service. Anyone can do well when the world is operating as normal but a true testament to good leader is when things fall off the rail. Good peacetime leaders do not always make good war time leaders.

I have ordered another 100ah "smart" renogy Lithium to finish what I have started. I have no doubt about there quality but it would be nice to get a response in fact it would be just plain courtesy especially from a business. I was particularly impressed by Will Prowse's videos about the latest "smart" renogy batteries.
Cheers Pete.

So I have a resolution after three weeks. Renogy game me a $160 discount on new battery. Keep in mind I ordered the 170ah and they shipped me a 100ah so the shipped me another 100ah. Their mistake cost me around $600 and a ton of frustration. Btw. I also spent $30plus on

Maybe Will Prowse can have some influence. Quality is high and so far technically everything seems to work as expected. It’s the North American staff that are underwhelming

Not just the north American staff, Australian staff are just as underwhelming.
