Hello everyone,

So I've successfully wired together my own DIY generator to power various items in a garage as needed. I wanted to take it a step further and buy a 12v 5000watt Giandel inverter and supply 120v to a sub panel to power my workshop in my backyard. Is that possible? I was thinking of running a 8/3 or 6/3 from the ac terminal block from the inverter to power 120v to the panel. From the panel I would use single pole breakers(since only 120V) and power a few different outlets within the workshop. My questions are is this possible? lol and how would I go about wiring a main circuit(I've read and seen most main panels or sub panels have a 240v main circuit disconnect)?

5000w at 12v... is 416amps...
Ridiculous amperage. Go for a 24 or 48v system if you want to power such large loads. Otherwise youll spend a fortune on wiring and fuses
