I'm installing my 280Ah 16s pack with a GSL (Megarevo) 8K inverter and 200A JK BMS. 8000w/48v/.85=196A. 196A*1.25=245A or 250A Class T Fuse.

I happen to have a 300A Class T fuse from a different project I didn't end up using. I am wiring battery to switch & inverter with 2/0 Super Vu-tron welding cable which can handle the amperage. (I also have 3/0 available). Is there any reason not to use the 300A Class T fuse and holder?

Thanks!

As long as the wire is safe to use with a 300A fuse then the 300A fuse will work just fine. This means 1/0AWG or larger. If you have 1AWG then you need the 250A fuse. You should be using 2/0AWG or larger for the 200A load then the 300A fuse is fine.

Since you plan to use 2/0AWG then you are good to go with the 300A fuse.
