Simple cheap plugin from battery box to inverter

Ideas for a cheap simple plug in and out from my battery buss bar to an invertor. It will be rarely used but would like something better than the car jumper type cable ends that came with the inverter. Is it ok to wire a heavy gauge extension cord end? Female to buss bar male to inverter. It'll be me and me alone using it. I don't plan on using more than 20 amps through it. Or do you need special proprietary stuff with special tools to put on? It doesn't need to be waterproof.

Will a crimper like this work or do I need their 50 dollar one?
I actually solder them.
Stand the terminal up in a vice. Heat it up with a torch. Melt solder in, up to about 1/4. Insert the wire. If not full, add more solder.

I suppose. I can buy a soldering iron, and vice or use vice grips. Was hoping to spend less and simplify. Not sure why a decent guage extension cord wouldn't work. Along with a quality plug. Everyone wants to sell expensive terms and proprietary crimpers. I'm not making dozens but just one.

Not a soldering gun. That won't get it hot enough.
Any torch will do.

Why isn't there a high amperage cigarette lighter type plug? Male and female ends to connect to higher output devices like invertors? Seems like a need now days for something new that would only require simple spade or ring terms on the other end. Could be a big seller with all the diy boxes being built. Guess I'll dream on and break out some solder and flame and buy a kit of plastic and tin pieces.
