Any energy storage battery is actually the same. Because the essence is LiFePO4 battery + BMS + different shell. All you need to do is find the market price and find the shape you like because the price of normal energy storage batteries will be around the market price... Also, be wary of too cheap batteries, you will pay for them.

Im considering this setup for an apartment for purely for UPS functionality (charging with grid) not solar panels.
Its literally the lowest price I can get here in comparison to Fortress, Simpliphi, Kilovaults, Enphase, Tesla, etc
4 modules $11,850 19.2kw
5 modules $14,500 24kw

Then buy it, the price is quite normal. But I saw a brand called Gokwh that seems to be cheaper, if you are interested you can go to Google. It Seems to be a new brand.

yeah, the store is located in China no warranties or support in the USA or Puerto Rico

Then you have to judge for yourself. I think LiFePO4 batteries don't need much maintenance and warranty. Of course, it is best if they support warranty. I don't really care about my own DIY LiFePO4 battery pack, and it's still working fine for almost two years. The factory brand should be no worse than my assembly skills, LOL.

I refuse to rave over any battery form factor. ?

On the market now in the US :

Those Home grid battteries meet the new UL standard. Solark and Homegrid seem to have some sort of partnership. Kinda cool how those can expand over time.

The recommendation is too get the modules you need from day one. If you add more modules the warranty expiration date starts from the installation of the first installed modules. If you want more modules Its better to expand on a new tower to get the full 10 year warranty on those new modules.

By the way, there's closed loop communication between SA and HG

4.8kwh per battery makes me think 15s, not the typical 16s.
I think they have both a 15S & a 16S product:
The screenshot shows:
4.8kWh module Product number HG-FS49100-15OSJ1
which would imply 15S

From this link:

The lithium iron phosphate battery (LiFePO4 or LFP) is the safest of the mainstream lithium
battery types. A single LFP cell has a nominal voltage of 3.2V. A 51.2V LFP battery consists
of 16 cells connected in series.

Battery Module Type: SS-FS48100-16OSJ1
which would imply 16S

I just purchased one and I’m genuinely confused.
First off..no manual. Just a pamphlet with information on how to add 10 growatt axe batteries together.
Secondly….the batteries connection should be flipped if I were the designer.
You need to squish your communication cable to get the massive wiring harness connected.
I was able to download a manual online to troubleshoot this battery.
Lastly…it’s showing like 0.02v dc
Then another test showed 4.8vdc
I just got the battery in the mail and it refuses to work.
I’m showing two blue leds which should be %50 charge.
I’m also showing a blinking green light. Next to the blinking green light it says run/alarm.

immediately shut the battery off and began searching the forum for information.

Since this battery is supposed to be the "rave in Puerto Rico", maybe a search of Puerto Rican based diy groups might yield something?

Per the manual p.5, a green fault light is normal operation. Maybe the bms is in sleep mode?

HOW DO I WAKE IT UP LOL

All I see is to hold the power button from 3 - 5 seconds to turn on. Don't see mention of a reset in the manual. It also says something about PCS being connected will turn the battery on?

I’m assuming pcs is my inverter.

Am I supposed to run my 240v input into my growatt inverter to wake the battery?

Inverter doesn’t want to turn on without the battery. Battery won’t turn on without inverter.
Interesting.
I’m going to try this all again now.

I’m going to take a reading at battery + and battery - terminals… I’m going to hook everything up as intended.
Start my generator up.
Start giving the PCS power.
Hopefully I’ll be able to wake my battery this way?
Whatcha think kornbread?
