IDK. I've always been told battery, then SCC, then PV. Due to severely lacking documentation, my solar setup has never been hooked to the grid or a genny, but having recently acquired all the needed information, it should be backed up by the grid in a few weeks, fingers crossed. I'm guessing the ~4vdc measured at the battery might have been a cap holding charge and if you leave the multimeter on there long enough it will bleed off the charge? No ideal on PCS as I could not find a reference in the manual. Did you purchase the battery from SigSolar? If so, ask them. Is there a tiny hole somewhere on the faceplate that could be hiding an even smaller reset button? Is the battery comm cable connected to a Growatt SCC?
