Love my heat shrink label maker

Now that is cool! Gives it a clean professional touch.

What tool do you use?

The machine is a K-Sun 2001XLB. I bet I've had it for sure more than 10 years. They still make consumables for them but they are expensive. Pretty sure Epson bought out K-Sun but the cartridges are backwards compatible.

Do they have adhesive lined stock?

The P Touch ones are not adhesive lined, I did get some adhesive lines clear heat shrink to put over the label ones in places where I needed the extra protection.

That's what I was thinking. Put an adhesive layer under the labelled tube or as you did put clear over it.

I work on DOD electronics for the Navy and Marine Corps and we build and maintain and repair shipboard visual landing aid systems and we don't use adhesive heat shrink in most applications.

I do know though that it is optimum for most things.

Bummer. I am hooked on the adhesive lined stuff, Selas it up and provides better strain relief. Maybe I'll get one of the labelers to put on top. Thanks for the info!

There is old-man label maker, and then there is so old, you label your wires old man labeler.

You, sir, have gone into the realm of ancient.?

I wish I had never started this thread. Ever since I looked up when I bought the label maker I started thinking "wonder what is new out there since mine is over 10 years old". Should have never asked myself that question.

Let me first state that this label maker works GREAT. It looks brand new. It does everything I need at the moment. I have lots of consumables for it.

So naturally I bought this:

If you knew me you'd just know that was a component of my personality. It's cool, I can afford it. I shall have it. :)

The good news is that all the consumables I have for my K-Sun machine work with the new Epson. That's a win because the consumable cartridges are pretty expensive.
