Have read a few threads about people mounting batteries & equipment indoors but haven't seen it addressed specifically from the angle of code & permitting.
We're in the planning stages of an off-grid new build and I am planning on putting all the equipment in a utility room inside the main living space, but I want to make sure I don't run afoul any building code for permitting purposes.
Batteries are Dakota Lithium 48v with built-in BMS, and the inverter/PV charger will likely be a Sol-Ark 12k. I know the Sol-Ark is rated for outside installation but I'd rather not.
There will not be an attached garage so that is not an option.
Anyone have a permitted system with everything inside?
