Hi everyone,
Could anyone confirm that I have things correct?
-Installing Growatt SPF5000ES which has a MPPT ranges 120V~430V, (MAX 450Voc).
-I have 20x Trina solar panels Vmp 30.6V / Imp 8.50I / Isc 9.00A

Planned configuration:
- 2 Strings of (10 Panel in series ~ 382V/8.5A), joined in parallel yielding: 382V @ 17A (theoretically)

Question:
Array= 382 at 17Amps

Question: Does this exceed Isc 9.0A? or due to array being parallel the Isc increased to 18Amps?

I'm hoping this design satisfies the specs for the Growatt SPF5000ES.

First of all I see nobody answered this so I'll give it a try. You are talking about the 260 W Trina solar honey panels but you seem to be mixing some stuff. Your VOC calculations seem wright 10 panels x 38.2V Voc =382 V ... the 9 amps is the short circuit curent, your max current is 8.5A, SO your "theoretical" max power is more like 30.6 V x 10 (panels in series) = 306 V x 8.5A (max curent per parallel string) = 2601 W x 2 (parallel arrays) = 5202 W
In conclusion Answer
Array = 306 at 17 amps
If you search a bit more on this forum (there are some pretty good answers to all your questions) you'll have good surprises
For your second question (again searching on the forum you'll find interesting answers) the inverter (more like the MPPT) is managing the Amp's not the panels so Amp-wise it's not a problem but more like on the volt part witch seem OK at 382 V Voc

And even more intresting upgrading your firmware (if you have the 0 40 / 0 41 firmware) you can get up to 22A on the MPPT traker. My firmwares are 0 40 05 and 0 41 05 witch are still limited to 18 A ... BE MINDFUL of the firmware there is a version with firmware 0 68 / 069 witch has a different com bord ... again serching the forums will give you ansers and tools and firmwares

Hopefully you have already installed the sistem, so how is it working? :)
