I just fired up my new Growatt 6000 and I’m getting 230 volts off each line. Line to ground or neutral = 230volts. Line to line is double that. Can anyone explain what I’m doing wrong here?
Looks I have the same inverterI just fired up my new Growatt 6000 and I’m getting 230 volts off each line. Line to ground or neutral = 230volts. Line to line is double that. Can anyone explain what I’m doing wrong here?
Ya it was the meter, went and bought a new one and voltage was good.Confirm meter is set correctly.
Try a different meter.
I don’t know a ton of this info but I know that I had to set up the perimeters for the battery charging looking into the Growatt manualYa it was the meter, went and bought a new one and voltage was good.
Now it won’t charge the battery, initially it started to charge then stopped. The display says it charging but the battery says idle.

AC, The generator is in the place of the utility. It’s a cndr battery from big battery. Lithium I think. Are you saying I’ll need to draw the battery down to 12% before it will recharge?Charging with AC or PV?
If AC, battery voltage must be below setting 12, or it won't start.
What would be an example of some charging perimeters that would need to be entered in the inverter? This is all very new. Sorry.I don’t know a ton of this info but I know that I had to set up the perimeters for the battery charging looking into the Growatt manual

Looks the same, I’m trying to set up the charging parameters at the moment, whatever they are lolLooks I have the same inverter
Same here, new for sure, did you look at your manual that came with the Growatt? It shows some of the settings, in fact it takes some time to figure how to work the control setting themselves but reading the manual over a couple of times helps one to understand just what they are sayingWhat would be an example of some charging perimeters that would need to be entered in the inverter? No. Setting 12 is the voltage to "return to utility". It's voltage unless the battery BMS communicates with the inverter reporting actual % SoC.
Setting 13 is the the voltage at which it stops charging from utility/generator
Note that these things are very finicky on generator. They really need an inverter generator as they don't tolerate even slightly unstable input. You may also need to find the setting that controls utility charging current.
Also, it's very important you've fully charged your 12V to full individually and again in parallel. They must be balanced with each other at their true 100%.
EDIT: nevermind. Got yours confused with the responder's picture. You have a Bigbattery
What is the exact model?
