Hi.
A plain system :
Solar panels------------>DCswitch--------------DC>Inverter>AC------------->breaker------------->Meter------------->Utility pole
When sunny, to shut-off the system; if DC switch is turned off first, arcing at the DC switch may occur.
When sunny, to shut off the system; if AC breaker is turned off first, there will be no arcing at switches but internally some circuits may suffer inside the inverter proportionally to the amount of power being handled.
At night, does not matter what shut-off sequence is followed to shut off the system.
Solar panels------------DCswitch--------------DCInverterAC-------------breaker<-------------Meter<-------------Utility pole
Corrections, please ?
