Hello,

I currently have two Deye 8k inverters connected in parallel.

I have a 6000-Watt generator that I'd like to connect to the system, but I cannot find any information regarding the parallel inverters.

Should I connect the generator to the master inverter only? Or does the generator need to be wired to both inverters?

Thanks in advance.

Since i was under the impression megarevo was made by Deye, which it is not.

From the Sunsynk training manual (more complete than the Deye manuals ...), It is not advised to connect a gen with parallel setup ...

I have a megarevo 8k clone.
Afaik made by Deye
And this is the parallel hookup schematic I got from them.

So generator should be hooked up to all inverters GEN input.
But not 100% sure about the pure/original Deye 8k inverter , so better ask around at the original equipment manufacturer.
To the best of my knowledge, Deye has no relationship with Megarevo. Obviously the Megarevo units were designed to be redesigned knockoffs of the Deye inverters, but I would not assume either the hardware or software are similar or compatible in use.

Thanks for pointing that out, I had the wrong impression then.
Deye 12k : 12K PV input, 8K AC output, color touch screen LCD, 2 Mppt inputs
Megarevo 8K 12K PV input, 8K AC output, monochrome LCD screen with 4 buttons, 4 Mppt inputs
There are significant differences

When the inverter is connected in parallel, the diesel generator should also be connected in parallel.

When the inverter is connected in parallel, the diesel generator should also be connected in parallel.
Which makes sense right?

If you have 2 inverters in parallel and one of them fails and goes to standby mode, pulling all relays, you still want the generator to power the output.
in that case the generator power needs to arrive at all inverters that are paralleled.

Maybe I´m optimistic, but is it possible to have grid and generator at the same time connected to parallel Deye inverter units?

Hi Did you win with this? I am sitting with the same situation right now and according to that Sunsynk video it’s not possible

Yes, it works. The generator connects to Gen Input on both inverters. Grid connects to Grid Input on both inverters.
