Hi People,

Ive been put onto the Schneider XW by a member in this group as a possible inverter/charger for my special needs lol (high induction loads)

Ive seen a grate video showing this inverter charger handling huge inrush currents, and it looks like a very good contender for my needs.

ONLY ive spent all day searching and calling people about this model and I am no more forwards than I was a week ago,

Its practically impossible living in the UK to get any decent help, even when I am after purchasing this model at around 4k uk sterling

I am now wondering what would be plan B ???

SMA Sunny Island 8.0H-13, except they seem to be unobtainable at the moment.

Unfortunately I don't think the sunny island is a low frequency inverter

I specifically need a low frequency inverter to run high induction loads

Move to the USA? ?

Victron uses a hybrid model which gives high surge power capability (it uses a large toroidal transformer) yet can achieve very low stand-by/self consumption.

But at £1,000~ for the biggest low frequency there

£1,500 for a victron multiplus might seem like a better option ?

The SI8.0 weighs 63kg, (Schneider 55kG) I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't be that heavy if it didn't have a massive toroidal transformer in it, i.e. a low frequency inverter. It buzzes at 50 Hz too.
The power ratings are 6kW continuous, 8kW for 30 minutes, 9.1kW for 5 minutes, 9.6kW for 1 minute and 11kW for 3 seconds, which is pretty similar to the Schneider.
The SI has run any loads that I've tried with no issue, including fairly high starting current ones, though you don't say what you want to use.

I am not convinced the Victron multiplus will do what I want it to do,
I need a inverter charger that can handle high inrush currents from inductive loads like air compressors, milling machines and lathes

I am with you on the weight, yes its a total give away to what's inside,

very good shout, only the Schneider can do 12000 watts

I am NOT a Schneider only buyer, I am happy to purchase anything that suits my needs, and I need a product that has the largest max wattage for inrush handling
