6500EX-48 - Sell it or keep it?

With all the possible issues I just did not want to be bothered with it after I bought one. I went out and bought a 18kpv, then asked if they would take the EX back for a partial credit of some thing else. They sent me a shipping label to print out and it went there way. I'm very happy with that.
I love not having to mess with programs and upgrades.

Thank-you everyone. I might regret it, but I've decided to keep it. With all of the troubleshooting that many others have done, I'll be able to benefit from their experience (good and bad). If it doesn't work out, I'll trust SS to do the right thing (or sell it). I have three Growatt 48v 5kw lvm-es (also from SS) and can bring one of those online. Thank-you again! Wish me luck!

I don't think I've seen one person who has not had problems with their 6500.

List it and see. Someone may want it
Well now you have, I purchased mine on 6-18-22 and has been in service everyday since on my off grid Homestead feeding 10kw of solar and a 50kwhr battery bank to 6 RVs ever since with absolutely 0 issues, the thing has been rock solid, and we have put her through her paces with storms, many different generators feeding it and off and on solar days, you name it and we have thrown it at her and she has not hiccupped once, I have absolutely loved it.

Did you knock on wood?

I bought an EG4 6500EX-48 about 10 months ago. It is unopened and still sealeed in the box.

From reading the forums and watching youtube, it appears that there may be different hardware versions of this model. There sure have been a lot of discussions, and some problems. Most problems appear fixed(?), in newer models, and some are fixed with firmware upgrades.

In any case, is my 10 month old 6500EX-48 worth installing, or should I sell it at a $200 loss or so, in order to minimize any headaches? There are other models in a similar price range that would meet my needs.

Thank-you.
