Batteries selling energy to grid?

Hello, I'm new and struggling to figure out why in the name of all things holy the batteries are selling energy to the grid and how to make it stop.

I've toggled and tweaked a bunch of settings but can't seem to find the right combination for what I would like the system to do.

Equipment is a sol-ark 15k with 16.2 kWh worth of batteries and it is grid tied.

Basically I would like to:

-Operate primarily from solar during sunny days
-Divert any electricity generated above the load to the battery bank
-When the battery bank is full, sell to the grid
-On cloudy days run off the batteries until they reach a certain percentage at which time the grid would supply the house with power

On certain days, for instance if I know a storm is coming, I would like to toggle to charge the batteries from the grid.

Under the Time of Use section, I don't understand the part of the interface where you can select Charge and/or Sell for each of the times, too. Turning them on/off hasn't seemed to change anything for my set up.

Appreciate any help!

My inverter does the same thing late in the fwhen rates are high so I have not seen the benefit of making it stop. It can be as much as $3.00 per week and does not take that much of my capacity.

If it's a brand new install I would assume it may be something to do with where the CT clamps are placed and how the inverter is set up, but as I am a novice it may be something more technical......

I based my answer on my experience of having the CT clamp in the wrong location for about 10 seconds where it resulted in not only my PV production being exported, but also power from my battery!

If it's not a brand new install I would assume it's how the inverter is set to operate.

What are the CT clamps? The system was installed by a company and they've been lax about answering emails.

What are the CT clamps?
They are current measuring devices. There are internal one which automatically measure input and output. I don't use them and my system sells from batteries a small amount later in the day when my settings allow a small discharge.

CT clamps are loose fitting clamps that are clamped onto cables on your electricity incoming supply, they detect which direction the current is flowing and if current is flowing back to the grid it will stop that happening by sending a signal to your inverter, if that's the way your inverter has been programmed, which will then stop current flowing to the grid from your battery.

As I'm a novice I might have got the technical details wrong but it is in essence how it should work I believe
