I have three 100w, series connected, solar panels on my van. The wiring connections on the roof are difficult to access without panel removal. I want to be able to charge my Jackery 500 from the solar but know the 65 volt PV output is too high to plug in directly to the J 500. (It’s 30v, 3.5a max) I intend to use the 12v car port in my van ( connected to house battery, AGM) with the 12v charger that came with the Jackery. This will take around 14+ hours to fully charge.

Question for anyone who can help:
Could I use a 12Vdc to 24vdc vehicle charger, with the proper 8mm input plug, to be able to charge the unit in half the time? ( at 80w vs 41w). Intended charger has a 90w capacity.

Thanks in advance.

For the fastest charge use a 30 volt power supply.
Jackery 500 accepts about 32 volts at 81 watts.
