Hey all, now that I have sold my 5th wheel, and have a Motorhome that we use to go on trips to the desert and such, I needed an enclosed to haul my RZR And other gear around, and decided to do all of my solar equipment in the enclosed rather than trying to modify the motorhome itself. I also started a Youtube channel to kind of document it, let me know what you think.

I like how you’re starting with a clean slate for the roof
Is the deye 8k the same as the solark 12k or solark 8k?

It's supposed to be the same as the SolArk 12k, but the more I work with the Deye, the more I notice the large differences. They are very close in specs, like output and PV ratings, but thats pretty much where it ends. I plan on making a video on the differences.

Like, good or bad differences? or a mix of both?

I haven't gotten to actually play with and test the Deye 8k yet, so mostly I'm going off of looks, build quality, hardware, and the UI etc. For the most part, SolArk has a much more refined product, with extra features, while the Deye is more of a "gets the same job done at the end of the day". But there are things that the Deye does well also.

How many times did you pucker with that drill?
Looks great man!

Nice presentation.
I am very interested to see your side by side with the Sol-ark and the Deye.
I will probably shoot that one after I get the 12k off the wall and the 15k installed. Then I can open up the 12k and compare side by side. All in all, we know the spec sheets and what they are capable of. Am I just comparing hardware at this point? I can't compare customer service, as that is one sided, because I have only dealt with Sol-Arks support.

I'll still do it, and show them side by side, and show at least what I can tell is actually different, but I'm no electrical engineer either.

Anything in particular that people want to see?

Anything in particular that people want to see?
How they compare internally - similar components and assemblies or not at all similar
How the features compare - to they have the same capabilities if not what are the differences
Ease of set up - how do each compare on setting them up and programing start up.

New Video Posted! Show some love if you can!

So how many days were you without power? Did you end up ending the trip early? Not sure if a smaller portable solar generator (ecoflow, Bluetti etc)would have made do as a temp backup in case main system goes down?
