Anyone with Victron 100/20 MPPT having issue with Load Disconnect

I purchased the unit at Amazon, 1st unit didnt disconnect at the set algorithm Load Disconnect. I set it up to disconnect at 12.4v (jumpers were removed as advised), i use it to just light up multiple 12v lights, almost 6 amps in total. Was surprised when i reviewed the App and my battery voltage went down as low as 12.1v. I returned the unit and got replacement but still the same issue. Victron CS was really not helpful, I watched Will having the same unit as mine, wondering if he has encountered the same problem. Cheers!

Did you ever get an answer to this? I am planning on using that exact same SCC in my Van and powering the DC loads (refrigerator, LED lights and fan) through the load output. I definitely want to know if the low voltage disconnect does not work correctly on this model.

I will be using it with a 24V battery for whatever that is worth.

Nope, no reply, still not disconnecting, i bought a cheap chinese load disconnect module attached on the load output of the victron. Amazon just refunded me

I have quite a few 100/20 Victron SCCs out in the field and they control the load output as expected. In fact, due to a jumpering error one caught us out and went into battery life preservation mode proving that feature worked too. Ensure that both the load's + and - are connected to the Victron's load output terminals, as per the manual.

AFAIK there aren't any issues identified in the firmware that would cause this but just in case, ensure you have the latest firmware installed.

Yes, just upgraded with the latest firmware, unfortunately still doesnt cut off. I have same victron 75/10 and have no problem with it. Maybe the batch from amazon have hardware problem/issue hence they just refunded me after same problem with the replacement unit. No wonder it was on sale

Based on Victron's history that'd only be the case if they were fakes (and there's lots of them as you can imagine). For example, in a rare occurrence Victron released a firmware build that could in the right circumstances cause a smartsolar charger to stop working, permanently. As soon as they became aware of the problem they withdrew the firmware, and replaced any smartsolar chargers that were affected, free of charge.

I doubt the unit i got from amazon is fake, could have been just defective batch. Bought the 100/20 because i like the 75/15 model, but got a bad one.

If the unit is defective Victron will replace it but obviously they'll want to confirm it is actually defective first. I'll see if I can reproduce the problem on a 100/20 on the weekend with firmware 1.50.

AMAZON did replace the unit, but per policy they only replace once, hence they refunded me when i still complained of the same problem. BTW, its international shipping from USA to asia. Read in some forums, some batch of the said unit have problems, the unit replacement unit i received form amazon also looks refurbished.
I am still able to upgrade the software, but the low voltage disconnect just dont work.
My problem with Victron CS, is that they dont have a dedicated CS, all they have are forums with no dedicated Customer Support. They want the dealer to handle the problem, as for my case, i bought thru AMAZON, so I dont think AMAZON CS are the best people to help me.

Test performed. Virgin unit straight out of box, firmware 1.47. bluetooth and controller firmware updated via smartphone, controller firmware now v1.50. Ve.direct jumper removed, as per instructions, load output control set to user def 1, off voltage < 20, on voltage > 28.4 (ie, the defaults for this profile).

Voltage on battery terminals reduced to < 20 V, unit turned off load output two minutes after threshold crossed, correct operation.
Voltage on battery terminals increased to > 28.6 V, unit turned on load output two minutes after threshold crossed, correct operation.

Unit manufactured Jan 2020, hardware revision 01.

Could you should a picture of your load output configuration? Of course you have the ve.direct jumper removed.

the picture says you have streetlight setting enabled. Maybe a bug or interaction with that feature?
